Typical motel, but clean and comfortable.Through-the -wall type a/c was noisey and could not be left on overnight, so on a cold night was a problem. Meal in restaurant was very good. But selection of wines by glass was dissapointing being in the Barossa Valley?
We enjoyed or stay and will go back again.

Excellent basic accomadation in a perfect central location in the barossa, with very friendly, helpful staff!
This property has a typical motel setup. It is about a 10-15 minute stroll into the centre of Tanunda.
Although the complex is dated, it is clean and the staff are friendly. The pool and spa is great. Was impressed to see they are 'Green Friendly' and if you look closely you can see they have spent money on solar panels, energy efficient light bulbs, shower savers. Stayed in the Executive Suite which has comfortable queen sized bed.
It is a clearn , cozy and quiet hotel..a great location, with private car park right in front of our room...
The Barossa Valley Motor Lodge and Convention Centre is a multi-roomed motel situated about 2.4 klm north of the town of Tanunda, in the Barossa Valley. The motel (Motor Lodge) has all the standard facilities, is well of the roadway so there's no traffic noise and has a well stocked reception area for purchase of most last minute essentials and you can get a map of all the local wineries to help plan your visits to the many cellar-doors. The Bacchus Restaurant is onsite if you don't want to eat in town or elsewheere. Full breakfasts are usually served in-room, after placing your order the previous evening. This was an excellent find, and fits the gap between resort, B&B, and pub(hotel accommodation. You're able to book local winetours onsite or you can visit the Visitors Centre in Tanunda. A car would be recommended but is not essential as there are many wineries within fairly easy walking distance of the Motor Lodge.
hotel was clean but old next time I would stay at the other hotel in the town much newer and more modern
