"The hotel was not as nice as we thought. The room was small but even though it's in the middle of town, it was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great. The building and rooms, not impressive. Difficult to find as the street appears to be a large, main road but is just a one-way street. Great location. " - DANIEL READ
"Although the family room booked was not available the staff were very helpful in accommodating us in a double and single rooms.
The staff were most helpful and the central location for the train and bus stations was very useful. Range of local restaurants was excellent and the market is well worth a look.
Single rooms are very small and the decor quite dated but this is to be expected in Italian 3 stars.

BY TRAIN.
From the train station you can get a taxi that will bring you to the Basilea in 2 or 3 minutes. By foot (with light baggage) you can walk from the train station to the Hotel in 7 minutes.
BY CAR.
FROM THE HIGHWAY A11 exit FIRENZE NORD, and follow directions toward CENTRO. You will reach the boulevard ring. Turn left along VIALE FRATELLI ROSSELLI, then VIALE FILIPPO STROZZI, and VIALE SPARTACO LAVAGNINI. At the middle of this boulevard there is a red light. Turn right into VIA S. C. DALESSANDRIA, straight ahead cross PIAZZA INDIPENDENZA and turn left in VIA GUELFA. We are there !
FROM FLR AIRPORT.
We suggest you to get a taxi that in 15-20 minutes will bring you to our hotel. Cost is approx. 17 Euro in 2006.

GARAGE with valet service
We have an agreement with a garage that can pick up and deliver the car from the door of our Hotel. 24 Hours parking costs 25 Euro for a car. 35 Euro for minivans and deluxe cars. Valet service is included for arrival and departure.
The clients should pay the garage with cash when receiving the car at the check-out. The garage is located very close to the hotel. Every day the garage is closed between midnight and 7:00 am. |
