Bay Crest Motor Lodge is brand new, spacious, and has the highest level accommodation in Tahunanui, Nelson at an affordable price. We opened our doors in September 2004. The lodge is clean, clear and crisp like Nelson, with lots of luxurious extras. Designed for comfort and relaxation, Bay Crest Motor Lodge is located in the heart of Tahunanui, away from the noise of the main road, so you can enjoy a peaceful stay. Our location gives you easy access to Tahuna Beach (it's just around the corner), and you're only a five minute drive from Nelson City Centre, walking distance to the famous Nelson Golf Course and a short drive to Nelson Airport. Nelson is famous for it's fine cafes and restaurants, and some of the best are just a short walk away from our accommodation. Providing first class services and facilities, Bay Crest Motor Lodge accommodation is for everyone. You can select from beautifully appointed Studio, Spa Bath Executive Studio, or One-Bedroom Units. All of our ten units are served daily. For the convenience of all customers, our facility is non-smoking. Interconnecting units, cooked and continental breakfast, courtesy car, laundry facilities, cot/high chair, Sky Digital and Satellite TV, and off street parking are available.

Getting there:Travelling south along SH6 following sign to Airport, turning right in Quarantine Road then second roundabout right to Bolt Road, left in Parkers Road and right into Golf Road. Bay Crest Motor Lodge is located at 87 Golf Road. We are situated in the heart of Tahunanui. We are only a short drive away from Nelson Airport and 5 minute drive from Nelson City Centre.

Car parking:Free Secure off street parking available. Some of the car parking is undercover.

This was untypical of motels, instead of handing us a key and pointing us in the general direction of the room, we were welcomed and shown to our room by Sylvia. The airy room was freshly decorated in light colours, there was excellent lighting, rare in motels and it was spotlessly clean. Full marks to them both for providing us with a pleasant stay.
The owners went out of there way to help us even dropping us off at the airport then returning again with an item left in the room. Great Service!

Very clean, modern, comfortable and well equipped. Very close to the airport which is good for travellers (but a little noisy as in direct flight path of landing planes). Overall, would recommend staying there.

Wonderful motor lodge, very clean and new. Love the big deck in front of all the 2nd floor rooms. Just a shame it's a little out of Nelson for the trips home after a night out! Great service as always, the Roses chocolates are a nice touch :)

We found out of all the Hotels we booked through you that the the Bay Crest Motor Lodge in Nelson was the best accomadation in every way. They supplied everything you would need and more even to the Chocolates to make you feel special. The Spar was superb and the decor outstanding. This is a virtually new motel run by a family team who could not be more helpful the accommodation is spotless,the facilities excellent and the rooms are serviced every day,the location is only minutes from the beach and the local park and a fewminutes walk from many restaurants and pubs,parking is on site and included this is definately a must stay at if you are in the area,a professionally run establishment by the resident owners Sylvia and Anton.

Bay Crest is situated on flight path into Nelson Airport but did'nt worry us as there are no late night, early morning flights in or out of the airport.
