Nice stay in Bay of Islands. Accommodation was great, plenty of room and close to everything, but far enough away to relax in the bush setting. Getting there:Paihia is 250km north of Auckland...just head over the Auckland Harbour Bridge and keep heading North! When you get to Paihia the will take you along the beachfront, and as you drive along the beachfront in Paihia School Rd is the second on your left and we are about 600m along on the left hand side. Overall, average. Not the best location if you have troubles walking up hill.....
The apartment have lots of space with good cooking facilities, The host is super friendly and helpful, the views of mostly wooded hills lovely, the distance to the jetty and shops a few minutes on foot. We could fit four in our apartment which made it excellent value for money, at least in the late summer.
Great value apartment, clean and bright, has a double bed in the main area like a standard motel room, plus a dining table and sofa-bed, then there is another double bed in a small bedroom
Incl 1-2 people. Spacious, sunny, light and bright apartment overlooking lush native bush. The afternoon sun pours in, perfect after you have returned from a day exploring the Bay. Fully self-contained. One queen bed curtained of from the living area, plus a sofa bed and in the bedroom another queen or two singles. Minimum 3 night stay
Very reasonably priced and superbly cleaned accommodation. Sevice was excellent. While it wasn't right on the water it was only a few inutes walk. Friendly staff.
Apartments are close to Paihia wharf area. Less than 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Views across valley, quiet, pleasant hosts. Good base for boat trips, walking tracks, beach, etc. Roomy apartments.
