Enjoyed our stay here. Their Balinese Restaurant was one of the best dining experiences we have had.
Room was basic but functional. Service was pretty good. Melanie was very helpful in arranging a day trip for us. The Balinese restaurant (Bay Leaf) was really good. Would highly recommend it. If i were returning to Cairns, i'd certainly consider staying here again. Thanks to all.

We were under the impression that the room we booked had cooking facilities we did not even have a microwave or a toaster or any utensils in the room when we asked the manager that our deal also included breakfast which we did not get he said the hotel club was falsely advertising this deal and to take this up with hotel-club. not only did we have no facilities but the hotel had a barbecue at a change of $15.00 each time you needed to use it. this we found redicules I think we should be comperencated in some way for the inconveince
Great family apartments within walking distance of Cairns CBD.
Bay Village Tropical Retreat is a lovely little oasis. It's located close to the airport and a stone throw away from the esplanade BUT approx. 15mins walk from town. While 1 staff member was particularly friendly and helpful, the staff member when we initally arrived was unfriendly (but not rude) and unhelpful when the room wasn't ready on arrival. The adjacent balinese restaurant is definitely worth eating at!
Bay Village had every thing that one would need or want. Staff very friendly and helpful.
This is a wonderful hotel to stay in. It has very good facilities, with freindly helpful staff. I would recomend this hotel to anybody visting Cairns. We will certainly stay there again next time we visit Cairns. Just excellent.
Rooms very spacious. Unfortunately a/c very noisy and didn't work adequately in one room. Other than that there were no complaints.
Quiet area. Rather long walk to CBD. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The room was clean and well maintained, with a nice area for food and drink preparation. The general facilities, including the restaurant and pool were clean and welcoming. The hotel is close to the sea and a short walk from the town centre. Very good value all in all.
We have stayed here twice and will certainly go back again.
If location were better I'd stay there again. It was quite a distance from the town centre and good shopping facilities. Found large cockaroach in room and was told "your'e in the tropics now" by a staff member. I was not amused at the time. The room cleaner was excellent though. Full marks for her.

I was treated excellent by the people at the reception. I am an older single woman coming from Scandinavia with a bad English dialect and I got more help and service than I expected. Thank you, Bay Village Tropical Retreat in Cairns. I will be back!
it was dissapointing that after we booked and requested a shuttle service, we were stranded at the airport for 15 minutes, it was not until we made a call to the Resort that we were advised that they do not pick-up after 7 PM, this should have been advised at the time of booking or at least after my email to the resort. because we were two males and requested a twin room, [business trip] we were allocated a back room, not that it mattered a great deal, but!!! this is the kind of atmosphere and service or lack of it that refraoins us from booking again.
