Getting there:From Dublin take the N7 to Naas, Kildare and Portlaoise. From Portlaoise take the N8 to Abbeyleix, Cashel, Mitchelstown, Fermoy and the approach to Cork. At the end of the N8 you will come to a very large roundabout which is the lead into the “Lee Tunnel”. Turn left at this roundabout and take the N25 to Middleton. Turn right in Middleton onto the R629 to Cloyne, Shanagarry and Ballycotton. The hotel is on the left hand side of the road as you drive through the village of Ballycotton.

The Bayview Hotel had an amazing position overlooking the harbour. The staff were delightful and we really enjoyed our stay. We would love to come again. The immediate area had not much to offer in the way of trendy pubs or restaurants, however, the hotel itself, more than made up for it, the sense of absolute peace was inspiring. The standard of the meals prepared by the chef were excellent. I ordered off the menu and was was very impressed. Lovely harbour and beaches close by and we enjoyed an evening in Ballymaloe House, which had special entertainment, along with their award winning restaurant.
