Bayview Hotel Singapore

Already stayed in this Hotel many times over the years. Wish they would bring in some variety in the buffet breakfast, daily menu remains almost unchanged day after day, year after year. Very central location. Staff is polite & helpful. Small exhaust fan in bathroom was not working, due to which the smoking room (# 611) was always full of my cigarette smoke.

The buffet breakfast supplied was not quite up to standard. It appears a more western culture/menu should be included.

Nice hotel, will stay again in my next visit. Very good staff members - supportive & helpful.

Very nice hotel and staff are very helpful

Hotel is located close to Bras Basah MRT station and bus stops. There is a convenience store and kopitiam (food court) located next door. Incorrect room type was allocated and so we needed to be relocated. Our room rate included buffet breakfast, which seemed reasonable compared to other accommodation types available at the time.

Arrived at 3 am to be given room on smoker's floor. Very quickly rectified in morning to 2 rooms with interconnecting door without any fuss. Rooms spotless, location excellent, 5 mins to MRT, Bugis markets, excellent food outlets 1 min away. Breakfast needs variety but always fresh. Very pleasant stay.

Overall a good option for short or longer stay. The taxi rank out front is convenient, however it is only a short walk to the MRT station. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast (which was included) could do with more variety as it becomes somewhat repetitive over a week's stay.

My sister and myself stayed at the Bayview hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of November 2008. We found the hotel staff friendly and helpful.Our twin Room was clean and serviced every day. The buffet breakfast gave a lot of choice including local dishes. The position of the hotel is great for most areas acess by walking, although taxis are cheap in Singapore .The Kopitiam just down the block from the hotel was excellent value for the local meals. The only downside was that the pool closed at 7 pm and that there was never anybody available on the bar.

Bayview is a nice hotel, It would be better that the pool was opened longer. It closed at 7pm. After a big day site seeing would been nice to have a swim as Singapore is hot and humid. There was a good variety for Breakfast. Staff were friendly. I would use the hotel again.

As a first time visitor to Singapore I enjoyed my short stay at the Bayview Hotel. It suited my basic needs, however, if pressed to criticise, the en-suite bathroom could have been cleaner (around bath/shower area) and the towels provided were a bit frayed round the edges. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast area.

Bayview Hotel was very good. Quiet, clean and the hotel desk staff were more than helpful. The location was great -easy to walk to everything we wanted to see. Breakfast, which was included was ok. The hot food was more luke warm, but reasonable choice.

Courteous and polite staff. Breakfast good value. Ideal location for shopping, all MRT lines and SMRT. Pool hours need to be longer and the rooms need better sound proofing as noise carrys through the walls.

we had a "non smoking" room but it still smelled slightly stale and smokey. The hotel was fine. A reasonable stopover hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised. Kettle, coffee and tea facilities, no fresh milk but powder milk sachets. Nice crisp sheets. Breakfast was varied and good. Great location for walking to Marina Square, Raffles, churches and Burgis St. Staff very helpful. Only complaint was WC in foyer which was filthy, however this did not fit with the cleanliness of our room and foyer and breakfast areas. Good value.

Good central hotel, quick and easy to get in and out of the building. Kettle, fridge, electronic safe in room and included buffet breakfast made the stay very comfortable.

Excellent hotel: spacious and clean room, nice pool on the roof,very decent breakfast and wonderful location. The most important bit is they went beyond their call of duty to assist me and I am very grateful. Highly recommended.

I did an online room booking on this Bayview and to prevent hassle for my parentst to check in, i went down to the hotel personally to settle all the payment in advance. Things went very chaos, the hotel reception never update the system to indicate that i have paid, ended up ask me to pay again and argued with me when my parents are checking in. The arguement took 20 minutes and the staff finally found a receipt and apologised to me. Seriously, the hotel management or system is not effecient but other than that, is all rated good. Reception resembled the image of a hotel, i think they should behave more friendlier.

Fantastic place to stay. only slight nag is that the walls are a bit thin and getting woken up by noisy neighbours in the early hours is a bit of a let down.
