Bealey's Hotel Christchurch

Hotel up on the top of the Terrace in Wellingto. Great location if you want the top end of Cuba Street - a bit more of a walk if you want the cake-tin - but generalll good hotel

Due to bar area being busy during our stay we had to eat drink elsewhere therefore funds not spent on site

This is an older style hotel, but it was clean & comfortable with friendly staff & good service. The only downside was NO ELEVATOR to the upper levels, so you had to lug baggage up & down the stairs. Keep this in mind if you are older or physically impaired in any way (I have a hip replacement) as it may affect your stay. Restaurant was great - huge meals & good value for money. I would say this was great accomodation for the price range!

The hotel is more of a motel as it is not very central and the bus service into the centre of Christchurch is not the most frequent. That said the rooms are of a good size and the facilities are very good.

i found the staff to be v friendly and helpful, a nice place to stay in good locaction with a pub/restaurant right next door with fantastic food.

I was struck by the warmth of the welcome when I arrived - and in the bar! - and particularly a very generous lift by one of the staff into central Christchurch when I had only about 2 hours to explore the Cathedral, Art Gallery and Museum before catching a shuttle from the hotel to the airport. The shuttles to and from the hotel to the airport were also excellent and on time Definitely a hotel to return to

Was a great stay. The pillows were a bit thin but otherwise was a good stay! Thanks!

Staff did not give morning call as requested and when reprimanded gave cheap excuse. On both stays the staff on duty in the evening is surly and not helpful. On both stays they had parties going on which makes weverything quite noisy until late night.

Hotel starting to look a little tired

Good pub/restaurant next door.

Close proximity to the airport, but very basic, especially the tiny bathroom. The spaghetti rests in the bathroom basin did not say much about the cleaning.

Fish of the day was excellent, as was the service in the dining room. EFTPOS not working when I booked out. Receptionist very helpful.

The room was clean throughout my stay, but the cooked breakfasts were of a very average standard, being buffet style, but not very appetizing. I prefer bacon and eggs to be fairly fresh, not crisp and soggy! I have had many buffet breakfasts in other hotels, which have been far more appetizing. The location is good as is the price per room.

10 minute leasurely walk into town, on site pub & restaurant very good

Would stay there again,without a doubt,the staff were friendly,and helpful,the food was good,and the bar was very popular with,presumably,the locals,so the ambience was excellent.

Looks like it might be being renovated. Fist night there was an updated shower room, very nice ! Second time different floor, not so nice. Fine for the odd night would't spend a week there.

I have stayed here before and found is really handy and very central. to every thing in Christchurch.
