It is the perfect base for unwinding and exploring all the great attractions and scenery of Tasmania's Far South. We are ideally situated for visting the acclaimed Tahune Forest AirWalk, Eagle Hang Gliding, Hastings Caves and Thermal Pool and of course the magnificent Hartz Mountains.

We specialise in Gluten Free and special dietry needs are catered for including Coeliacs, Vegetarian, Vegan, Dairy intolerant etc
Choose from a modern Australian menu all prepared with as much fresh and local produce as the seasons permit. We are fully licensed with a range of Tasmanian and Australian mainland wines and beers.
We are a pet (and bear of course!) friendly accommodation establishment...and remember - dont leave your bear at home - bring him along for a holiday as well! We can accommodate either inside or out depending on your Pet's wishes. For both indoors or outdoors please supply your our bedding, we do have bowls.

The Bears are situated in the township of Geeveston, 45 minutes from Hobart on the A6 (the Southern Outlet).
As you enter the township you'll find us on the corner of the main street, just on your right - you can't miss us!
