"Be careful of mosquitos - I got Denghue fever on the first night off the boat - wear insect repellant always. People were lovely, small island. Take advantage of snorkelling trip to their other small island. Resort very tired and could do with a spruce up." - JODIE RYAN

"We recently stayed at Bekana Garden Island Resort with our 9 month old son, the staff were fantastic and the rooms were great. We were able to leave our son with a babysitter and feel comfortable about doing so. The resort is close to Lautoka and they offer a free boat service to and from the main land. Overall we found the resort great, the food was wonderful and service with a smile, we look forward to staying there again in the future and recomend it to others. Located in calm waters just 2.5 km off the coast of the city of Lautoka, Bekana Garden Island resort welcomes you with warm Bula smiles. The 60 acre island boasts 1/2 a kilometre of palm fringed sandy beach.

Our fresh water pool is cool and relaxing if you prefer a bit of shade on those hot Fiji days. With the Runaway Crab Restaurant and Baravi Bar close by you can spend you entire day without a worry in the world. The Runaway Crab features a meeting of Fijian and International cuisine. Try our very own Bekana Colada as the sun goes down to the sounds of our nightly Fijian Serenaders.

Bekana features a range of accommodation from traditionally styled Fijian Bures to Luxury Beachfront and Family Bures. All bures are within 10 steps of the beach.

Bekana is old-style Fiji in a resort setting. A place where people remember your name, where the service is friendly and personable.

Getting there:

Lautoka is 20 minutes taxi-ride from Nadi International Airport. Boat transfers by arrangement run 24 hours a day and are complimentary to guests. Taxi or bus to Bekanas wharf, adjacent to Fisheries Wharf for transfer to Bekana. Transfer to be confirmed at time of booking - please advise flight details or arrival time.
