Belconnen Hotel & Serviced Apartments Canberra

It was a great hotel, very central to all the attractions in Canberra. Hotel information on where to eat was brilliant. We stayed in one room (whole family) as there was no other accommodation left in Canberra at the time - it wasn't as bad as I thought. If this hotel has a two room appartment then I would definitely book next time in Canberra. We had a great time, but I would of preferred my kids in a separte room to me! But otherwise it was great.

It was a spacious unit, just a little bit cold.

Very much in need of updating, but was one of the only places I could find that offered a double and single beds combination. The breakfast was great, big servings, location for dinner was also very good, short walk to shops.

Coveniently located next to the Hawker shopping centre which had a number of shops including a supermarket plus restaurents.

Parking was a bit of an issue. They share the car park with the soccer club, means limited parking when the club is busy.

We selected this hotel on price as we had a car and location was not an issue. We were really delighted with the hotel as it was easy to find, very clean with a new bathroom and adjacent to a club where we were able to purchase a nice pub meal. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. This was a nice overall choice for an excellent price.

Very tired complex. Room has equipment that had clearly been out of order for a long time. NOt enough glasses etc.

This place is desperately in need of an overhaul. Feels like a dodgy motel you would pay for by the hour .... Parking is a challenge.

A very tired and run down facility, curtains falling off tracks, air-conditioners very old.

It is a reasonable 3 - 3 1/2 star hotel in terms of its facilities. However, it is showing its age and has an "old" feel. It is also associated with some other community facilities, namely a bottle shop and a football club that, take thy shine off it. Prices are very reasonable but it is a fair distance from the city centre. For those who are not bothered by a hotel that is not classy, and either are visiting the north side of Canberra (so taxi fares do not completely offset the price advantage) but have a pragmatic view it is godd value for money

it's quite an old motel, and it does have the old smell as well. the room layout is a bit dodgey. it's more like two connecting hotel room than two bedroom aparment. however, the beds were comfortable and we had good night sleep. will not recommend it if you're planning to stay for more than a night or two.

Our room was on the second floor and next to the drive way to the lobby and it's very noisy if your don't close the windows? The hotel staffs are very helpful. The location is very good it close to foods, shopping and UC where we doing our business. Overall good value for money!

I have previously stayed at the Belconnen Hotel & Serviced Apartments Canberra and that is the reason I chose to stay there again. I found the staff at the front counter very pleasant and efficient. The breakfast was excellent value for money and the woman who served it to our room was very pleasant and courteous. However there were no drinking glasses in the room and I asked for some the following morning. There was a cup we used and it was not cleaned or replaced. The carpet was shabby with a few patches and in need of replacement. The shower area was grotty and needed a very good scrub

2 bedroom apartment is spacious with a large living area and well equipped kitchen.

Room is a bit dated with threadbare carpet (even had a square that had been cutout and poorly replaced). TV reception was woeful on all channels including movie channel. Temperature was good, bed comfy and quiet. Free wireless internet access in lobby and receivable in some rooms. If you want to utilise the dinning room for breakfast you have to book prior to 9pm

cleaniness of fridge and bathroom was average. generally needs a bit of a spring clean and spruce up. room was a great size, however we were given an interconnecting room, so the noise from the aprtment next to us was a problem in the main bedroom. staff were very friendly and obliging, however cleaners walked into the room twice at 9.10am before checkout time.

2 rooms are not an apartment! One room had the very small bathroom and the other room had the kitchen. No privacy whatsoever as access to the bathroom was through one "bedroom" and access to the kitchen through the other "bedroom". It was impossible to get more than a dribble of water in the shower and even more impossible to regulate the water temperature. The wash basin had a leak and the beds in the "kitchen" had their heads positioned extremely close to the heater, which could not be adjusted. So we slept with the windows open and the heater going full blast! Our stay should have been for 2 days but after one night we decided to go and try our luck elsewhere.

For the price of the hotel, it was very well kept and the staff were friendly. Location was a bit out of the city but still very close to other locations such as shops, restaurants etc.
