Belfort Hotel Amsterdam

enjoyed the stay, service good, breakfast excellent. but a little noisy at night. Should maybe consider more effective soundproofing

Very spartan rooms, but clean. Hotel not in the best of areas, but there is a tram stop right outside. From the airport, go to Amsterdam Lelylaan instead of Amsterdam Central, it will save you time and money.

Carpet in room torn. Otherwise what one would expect for Amsterdam - very small rooms and very basic.

As we arrived early from a long flight from NZ, we were pleased to be checked in 2hrs ahead of normal check in time. We hope the room entrance door has been fixed as it was broken and would open with any draught.

It's a good place to for a short stay. Not designed for women who travel with lots of clothes

Not too bad at the price, a bit shabby in public areas but room clean and acceptable. Main drawback is the distance from town centre and the fact that there is little of interest in the immediate vicinity,

I was here last March 05. THe reception lasy was really helpful. Unfortunately when We got the breakfast the waitress are not able to speak english. Location is quiet OK. Only take 10 minutes by tramp to the centre.

Friendly staff, good breakfast all at a reasonable price. Rooms clean and airy, if small. Location a bit too far from the centre of town, but efficient tram runs past the door to the central railway station.

This hotel is very conveniently situated. It is only 15 minutes from the airport by train. It is also on a tram route which approx 10 minutes from the city centre. The trams run very frequently, so getting around is no problem. We found the receptionist ladies to be extremely friendly and helpful and very efficient with tourist information. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for medium priced accommodation that is well situated.

This hotel is in a pretty good location, with a tram stop right outside, so you can be into the city center in 15 minutes. All the staff I came across are multi-lingual and all were really helpful.

Clean hotel, friendly helpful staff. Would happily stay there again. Slightly away fom town centre, but you are only a 10 minute tram journey away from the sights. Would recommend anyone to stay there.

Fairly basic but clean budget option, quite far out of town on Surinameplein, but on Tramlines 1 & 17. Good buffet breakfast, but hotel restaurant was closed in evenings when we were there. However, excellent bistro just down the street ("De Haarlemmer"). Slight confusion over our booking when we arrived, but sorted out satisfactorily in the end. Handy for Schiphol airport.

A good hotel in the suburbs of Amsterdam about ten minutes tram ride from town. It is quiet and the service is friendly. If you want peace and quiet after a day out it is ideally situated but if you want to be a short walk from the centre of town this is not for you. More suitable for the more mature person.

We have been staying at the Belfort for the last 5 trips to Amsterdam. We like the location close to the trams. The people are always very friendly at the Hotel, the rooms clean and neat daily. I would like them to improve their plumbing a little, but it is passable. The breakfasts are excellent and I will continue to stay at the Belfort. Parking on the side streets for my rental car is also convenient.

I feel Hotel guys very friendly. The Breakfast is good, too.

The Hotel is clean and friendly. It is a little farther out than we imagined however the trams stopped just outstide and proved excellent. Close to some quieter squares where you get a better feel of what life is like in Amsterdam.

The people were helpful and friendly, our room was amazing for the price, and it was no more than a 15 minute walk from a great, not tourist-y part of town (leidsplein). I would definitely stay there again.
