Belle Arti Hotel Venice Guest Reviews

4.6 out of 5

I read lots of reviews before going to this hotel and was a bit worried but when we got there found our experience completely different and much more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was really good - very easy to find even at 11pm. The rooms weren't huge but were however a good size. I would definately go back here again.

Cheerful but incompetent front-desk staff couldn't find unoccupied room or make Wi-Fi work, though Sunday staff were better. Rooms were clean and very nice for the price, the porch is quite nice and the location is very good, near the Accademia bridge but on a peaceful street.

The hotel is very well located, just a 10 min walk from San Marco square. Decoration is nice and there is a lounge area outside to relax when returning to the hotel. This hotel is reasonably priced. I would recommend it to anybody.

The hotel was fine except for the fact that there was NO HOT WATER, indicated by "facilities" above being rated very bad.

Great location, very easy to reach from Ponte Accademia and within walking distance to many of the art galleries and sights of Venice. Friendly and kind staff. It was raining the morning we left, so the receptionist accompanied us with a very large umbrella, to the boat stop. Clean rooms.

Breakfast disappointing as I never got a hot cup of tea. The water used was always luke warm. Plumbing in bathroom dangerous as water in shower would go from almost scalding hot to cold and there was no means of regulating. No internet access. On the plus side the location is very good.

I thought the hotel was located in a very good part of the island. The decoration was like an 18th century hotel which I thought was so original. There were lounges outside where you could relax when returning to the hotel and a bar downstairs for light refreshments. This hotel was very reasonably priced. I would recommend it to anybody.

Hotel quite easy to find, half way between Zattere and Academia Vaporetto Stations. About 10-15 minutes walk from San Marco. Lots of canals to be crossed and each bridge has steps so not convenient for anyone with walking difficulties. Good selection for breakfast. Room small but lavishly decorated in venetian style. No bath, shower only. Very clean. Nice courtyard and outside seating area. Fairly quiet. Venice itself is very expensive. Our 2 night stay was just enough.

Fabulous spot, my room was looking onto the beautiful courtyard garden, exceptional for Venice, and so easy to get to and find. The room was very clean, I will definately come back.

We were incredibly pleased with our stay at the Belle Arte Hotel in Venice. The accommodations were clean, the view off from our window onto the back courtyard was relaxing, and breakfast was an added plus. The real reason we rave to this day about our stay is the location. The quiet street in Dosoduro was a welcome reprieve to the crowds and overpriced venues of St. Mark's. We were in walking distance from anywhere we wanted to go. A peaceful morning walk to St. Mark's was no more than 10 or 15 minutes from Belle Arte.

Fantastic value for money. Great location situated only a couple of minutes walk from the Academia Vaporetto. The rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel has a very nice entrance with a great outdoor courtyard where you can have your breakfast. My only complaint would be the breakfast where the food was never particularly fresh, but I would eagerly go back to this hotel.

A red carpet will greet you on arrival. This is a peaceful hotel despite break time at the neighbouring school. Rooms are small, but you won’t be there much. Staff are polite and will advise you on restaurants if asked. A short walk will take you to the most bustling local nightspot in town. The hotel is conveniently placed very close to the Galleria dell' Accedemia and a vaporetto stop. 2 stops and you’re at Piazza San Marco, or walk via the Accedemia bridge. Enjoy, Salute!

If you want to stay in a medium priced hotel in the quiet Accademia area of Venice, away from the throng of hotels around San Marco, then Belle Arti is an ideal choice. Good for art lovers, as it is situated directly behind the Academia gallery, five minutes walk from Peggy Guggenheim gallery and a couple of waterbus stops from Palazzo Grassi. Also, if you are getting the waterbus from the airport, stay on it until the last stop (after San Marco) to Zattere and Belle Arti is only a five minute walk away. You will be first on the bus for the return trip to the airport too!
