"Belleisle hotel was not open when we arrived so we were sent to thir sister Hotel in the Town, while the location was good, the room was not cleaned very well, the tap leaked in the bathroom and the bath seal needed replacing. Staff were geneally friendly." - Anonymous

"Staff very nice and helpful. Hotel is very tired and needs new furnishings. Carpets threadbare, wallpaper peeling off walls. Bedroom not clean and very dusty. Several appliances in room did not work. Location is now poor due to local "neds". Do not know how this hotel has a 3 star rating, I would not give it a 1. Will not be returning." - Anonymous

Hotel description:

The Belleisle Hotel was built in 1829; this historic building has wood carvings of songs and poems written by Robert Burns himself. It is surrounded by Belleisle country Park which gives spectacular panoramic views.

Ayr beach is only but a 15 minute walk fro the Hotel; there you will find an indoor swimming pool and loads of activities to suit all the family.

You are a 5 minute drive from Ayr's ciry centre which offers quality bars and restaurants and with the main shopping centre you will be able to shop till you drop.

Spacious en suite rooms that are simply styled with traditional decor. All rooms have the modern comforts such as tea and coffee making facilities, TV's and hairdryers.

A limited number of the rooms overlook the Belleisle country park giving spectacular oanoramic views.

Getting there:

Leave Airport and turn left, at roundabout turn right drive through Prestwick High Street continuing all the way approx 10 mins ntil you reach a small roundabout, go straight at the roundabout and at 2nd roundabout go straight on. At 3rd roundabout take 3rd exit at fire station. You are now coming up to a double roundabout go straight through first one and take 2nd exit and the next roundabout. Follow the one way system round to traffic lights and turn right then a left at the next set of traffic lights onto Miller Road. At the end of Miller Road turn left a traffic lights, go straight along to the end of the road to a set of traffic lights go through these lights then after approx 100 yards turn left into Belleisle.
