Getting there:From train station approximately $5 taxi fare. Bus from the city approximately 5 minutes (bus stop outside of motel), easy walk to CBD. Coming from Melbourne (Calder Highway), pass the fountain, second set of lights turn right into Chapel St, left at roundabout (McIvor Road) under bridge, through traffic lights, motel on left hand side.

We had a non smoking room but someone had been smoking in it, we could smell it. The couple who managed the motel were very friendly and obliging, the motel was booked out the night we were there, a good sign.
We found it very clean but found the bathroom, toilet very small with no basin or mirror in it not that good

Small Husband/Wife operated business. Very good in all respects. No restaurant on site, but good meals available close by and good breakfast room service.
Stayed just one night. Price included breakfast but was only offered scrambled eggs & bacon and yoghurt as a vegetarian option for my partner! E & B was OK but no yoghurt arrived just a small pre-packaged container of fruit.
Proprietor was friendly & helpful. We took the basic facilities staying 1 night. One downside was noise from external sources such as trains passing on overhead road crossing approx 100 metres away, hoons screeching tyres in early hours & some other unidentified sources of industrial type of noise. The other which was the bigger problem according to my 'better half' was lack of electric blankets. There was an underlay. Quality TV with Foxtel,Austel standard.
This is a great little cosy place, great value, and friendly staff, I will definatly stay here again on my next visit to Bendigo!
Good value small motel very suitable for overnight stay.
Bathroom is very small and shower was noisy but made up for by free internet, fre hot breakfast and austar and convenient location. Owners were very welcoming.

Unfortunately whilst confirming my complimentary breakfast when arranging a late check in by phone the breakfast was not provided until requested. It had been forgotten. Very noisy with others banging on doors and calling out around midnight. Despite the power limitations in the heat wave and the lack of external lighting the room was cool and comfortable though at the average end of the scale for facilities and space.
Only there to sleep and breakfast, but exactly what we expected. breakfast good and on time.

Staff very friendly and approachable. They were always available and were happy to bring breakfast a little earlier than usual to fit in with our itinerary.
The owners were great and nothing was too much trouble. Our biggest problem was with the bed - we slept extremely poorly for the entire 2 weeks with the mattress causing extreme pain on our hips, shoulders and backs. Also, we had to pay extra for a microwave which we felt was a bit excessive as our stay was quite long!
unusual that the kitchenette formed part of the bathroom. Bed - the mattress was sloppy with indents of where previous people had slept. perhaps they need updating. very friendly service and quiet location. thoroughly enjoyed my stay!
