Bergwirt Hotel Vienna

"Bergwirt Hotel is quite good based on price / value. The hotel is located at the bus stop and minutes away from U-Bahn to all downtown Vienna attractions. Hotel room was quite clean and outside noise level was good. Rooms were clean, but spartan - but met our needs very well. I would recommend it to others." - Anonymous

"This hotel is in Heitzing 13th District south west Vienna. U Bahn 4 line to and from Vienna Karlsplatz. Tram from Heitzing to Westbahnhof. Feeder bus opposite the hotel to Heitzing U Bahn. Vienna Line 24 or 72 hour ticket cover all your journeys. This hotel has 2 St Bernards, one real and one not! A Biedermeier (Art Nouveau) Building. Heitzing is home to Schonbrunn Palace and Gardens (Palmhouse & Zoo entrance) and to Dommayer Coffee House where Johann Strauss the Younger gave his first concert. Heitzing shops and restaurants to suit all your needs 15 mins downhill from the hotel. Sisters Elizabeth Grauer & Anna Richer run this hotel for the family. " - Anonymous

"The Bergwirt is in Heitzing 13th District a fashionable suburb, at the top of the hill Maxingstrasse, 15 mins walk from Shonbrunn Palmhouse and Zoo entrance and Heitzing U Bahn line 4, an art nouveau building with a brilliant staircase, owned by the Grauer family, breakfast is cooked to order, rooms are very spacious and airy with large bathroom. Recommended for anyone wanting to be in Heitzing. For art fans - Just opposite is Heitzing Cemetery & the grave of Gustav Klimt. Egon Schiel lived and died in Heitzing his museum is at Am Platz beside the church. " - Anonymous

"A very pleasant stay in the Bergwirt with breakfast cooked to order! if you want to stay near Heitzing. A Family run hotel in unusual art nouveau building. Not in the City Centre. In the 13th District at the top of the hill beside Heitzing Cemetery if you want to be close to Klimt!. Local bus takes you up & down to Heitzing U Bahn line 4, or from Heitzing by tram to Westbahnhof. " - Anonymous
