Berjaya Tioman Resort

An excellent hotel. We really enjoyed our stay... Unfortunately it was not close enough to all the restuarants and hawker places.

This is a pleasant resort that has lots to do for couples and families. Members of our family group went diving, golfing, used the pool and games facilities. Major rain (it was monsoon season after all) did force us to cancel the boat tour we had booked. Food choice is diverse and excellent, quality is high. Cleanliness is first rate throughout the resort. Even the laundry service was fast and efficient. We would definitely go again.

Overall it was acceptable but shower room looks very old. It was still working but not great. e.g. a lot of ants are walking around, toilet tank overflowing... Difinitely showeer room isn required improvement. Anyway other than the shower room, all is fine, room service, beach etc, if I compare with price. I will probably stay there again if go there.

First room toilet leaked yet they still booked us in to the room Second Room Aircon didnt work Third was great ! They happily changed the rooms when we complained

For an island stay OK but nothing else around. The room was great as was on the beach. Food was not so good though. If returning I would think twice before going there again though.

the locaition was exelant itry the interntional resturant there it was great ,nice and fresh food and all kind of food in menue. and you can chose any facility there.

Poor service at front desk. Generally poor manner with no smile. Also not being helpful at all.

The Resort has nice beaches, restaurants and a beautiful swimming-pool. However, if you look for the shine of the pictures in your room, you will be disappointed! The room is closer to a chip motel than an exclusive Hotel as self-declared. As we entered the room, a terrible smell of mould welcomed us, followed by the discovery of holes in the bed-lining, spider in the closet, some strange agglomerates on the wall from which I didn’t want to know the origin, etc. The bathroom is terrible, with pinkish tiling, a plastic shower and very cheap plastic garbage. I have never seen such wearied out towels as the ones they gave us. After complaining, the situation got a bit better, but in three days we still didn't managed to get a functioning TV controller. We stood up to change the channel and switched the TV on and off from the old-fashioned system on our bedside cabinet. Beside the house-keeping, service was good. We spend a wonderful time on the beach and at the Thai restaurant.

Wonderful island and resort. Spent there 10 days, still wasn't enough. Would love to go there again. Best for families, couples, divers, golfers and those who prefer secluded and peaceful places for vacation.

We stayed in a standard challet, the pillows were hard & the singles beds are short. while the facility as a whole is wonderful & in a beautiful setting, maintenance could be addressed in the standard challets.

Flott sted for en ferie! Went for our diving honeymoon here and sign up for the diving package at the Sea Sports Centre. Have no regrets at all! Nazri and Ton (divemasters) are of great help. Will be coming again next year after the monsoon. Overall the Resort is really a family oriented get-away. Have no complaints at alll. And the service staff? EXCELLENT! -Lisa & Odd Male
