Getting there:BY TRAIN If you arrive in Florence by train, reaching the Berna Hotel is very easy because it's only few minutes walk. Exit to the railway station of Santa Maria Novella, from left exit. You have to cross the road and take the right direction. Largo Alinari Street is the first on. BY PLANE Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci) is only 5 kilometers from the town center and from the Berna Hotel. You can reach it by taxi or by Volainbus Bus service. The nearest stop of bus from the Berna Hotel is the one located near the Lazzi Termibus, near the railway station (Adua Square) only 2 minutes from the hotel

Child Policy:All children under 9 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All older children or adults are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2. There is no capacity for cots in the room. Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel. Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.
Good hotel, value for money. Great location as it is right next to the main train station. The photos of the hotel are from the main building, however I was given a room in an apartment across the road. It was kind of a hostel without reception or staff. Breakfast was supplied in the room (cereals, dry biscuits and crackers; milk, juice and water in the fridge in the room), but only some crackers and biscuits were topped up once during the 3 night stay. Bathroom was communal. However it was quiet enough, we could come and go how we pleased and there was computer with internet + Wifi in the apartment. It only left me wonder, how was the main hotel and did i pay the same price as the other guests?

The location is really great and handy. The breakfast is great and the staffs are very helpful. However, the toilet is a bit too small.

It is truely an excellent reasonably priced boutique hotel with a great personal service. I could not fault this hotel and service. Great location for the train station and sites. The hopitality from the high spirit and energitic Francesca, who kindly waited our late arrival and even tried to phone us. Breakfast was always an awakening occassion with funny Francesca. The Propriator Pauolo, was equally warn and Charming with a great awareness of the importance of guest's stay being comfortable. Thank you very much Francesca and Paulo. I will definitely be staying there again and highly recommend this hotel. This hotel beats many higher rated hotels I have stayed in.
One of the best Hotels we have stayed in for a 2 star, it rates better than some of the 4 stars we have stayed in, the service proved by the Hotel management and staff is very high, rooms very clean and just been fully renovated with new bathrooms, the location is perfect as it is walking distanace to all the major sites and coach tours and restuarants. we will be staying there again as it rates very high for value for money and cleanliness. The service provided by Francesca and Pauolo the owners are excellent, can not speak highly enough., Sam and Pat Australia
absolutly charming boutique-hotel, where every room is different... full of character, super-hospitality, free high-speedf internet, breakfast included in the price of the room which was very inexpensive! situated literally in few steps from the train station, for me it was ideal stop for a short visit. strongly recommend.
I'm so glad to find such a satisfied hotel in Florence, I'm sure if i have chance to come back, i will choose to stay this hotel again.
