Excellent hotel ideal for families, located 100 metres from the beach and 5 metres from the shopping centre where you will enjoy the wonderful and hospitable atmosphere. Its geographical situation, between Barcelona (50 Km. away) and Girona (45 Km.) is an ideal starting point for enjoying magnificent sites and beaches of the Catalan Coast. All the rooms have ensuited private bathroom, hairdryer, terrace, air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, telephone, music channel, minibar and safes for rent. WI-FI free New Wellness area with finnish sauna, hydromassage swimmingpool , bath of steam, skilful bithermal and cabins of treatment. (to fee) The hotel offers buffet service in the restaurant, there are outdoor swimming pool for adults and children, two lifts, TV room with parabolic antennas, air conditioning in common zones, heating. Car park with fee at 200m (limited offer). In July and August, a Miniclub is offered for children. A lot of activities like mini-olympics, races, games and sports in the beach and excursions to the mountains are done. Different sports, activities like volleyball and football are organised for the adults and in the hotel (dards, table-tennis, rifle shooting). Every night show time with games and performances for the whole family. There is also a bar in the beach, CLUB BERNAT II which offers special attention to our guests with reasonable discounts in drinks, hammocks and special events at specific dates.

Getting there:From Barcelona Airport: with taxi, or from airport train station to Sants station and then should have another train to Calella. From Girona airport: with taxi, or with the bus to Girona and then with train to Calellla. From Barcelona by car: North: Highway AP7, exit 9 Lloret, Blanes, Malgrat. Continue by N-II during 13km, take C-32 and then, 122 Calella Center exit. South: from Barcelona C-31 during 12km, then follow by C-32 during 39km, then leave it in 122 Calella Center exit to take the N-II during 1km. At least, turn to left after the petrol station.

Have stayed at this hotel 6 times with our 3 children. Excellent location. 2 minute walk to beach. 3-4 minute walk to town center. Hotel is quiet but their is plenty of activity in the town at night. Great food. Top class accommodation and very helpful staff. Would highly recommend this hotel for families with young children.
Staff efficient and friendly. Bar prices very competitive with street bars, which is unusual. Breakfast decent enough. Evening meal ok, although we only ate in once. Would definately stay at this hotel again.
Good place, nice room furnishing, no complaints save for noisy houskeeping ladies, which woke me up every morning around 8'o'clock :-/
Internet in hotel's provided by Telefonica. 13 EUR/day is way too much for 1mbps connection. Otherwise hotel's pretty cool.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The Bernat II is a clean, spacious well maintained Hotel and thoroughly deserves its 4* rating.
The Bernat II Hotel Costa Brava is a very good hotel in the region of callela. It is one of the best, there are as far as I know only two other 4* Hotels with the same quality I asume. Everything is above average.
Would certainly re-book the hotel again and the area is gorgeous. We had a teenager travelling with us and he absolutely enjoyed himself. Very easy to commute from Barcelona - would highly recommend it!
We found the hotel to be friendly, clean and very helpful would recommend to anyone.
Cannot fault the hotel itself, excellent. The only issue we had, was the location. The hotel is situated on the quieter edge of town with only a few bars and one restaurant/grill nearby. A very short distance to the beach, but a good 10 min walk to the main town, shopping, bar area. If you wanted to be at the quieter end of town, then the location would be perfect, we would have prefered a little more choice locally.
We had a lovely evening in the jacuzzi and swimming pool very romantic. We would like to visit again in the summer months.

Nice place to stay. Short walk to the beach. Easy drive into Barcelona. Definitely recommend this hotel.
