Best Western Alfa Aeropuerto Hotel Barcelona

Everything about this hotel is perfect for a quick stay between flights. The shuttle service is excellent, the staff is extremely accomodating, welcoming, and competent, offering wake-up calls and shuttle reservation times at registration. Extremely comfortable beds and delicious (fresh-squeezed?) orange juice with the desayuno express (4,90 euros for juice, croissants, and coffee).

The decor is very modern, a nice touch, and you can't beat the amenities (free wifi throughout and free airport shuttle). BUT beware if you are put in a room facing the front side of the hotel. The main road it's on sounded like a truck super highway all night long. There's a traffic light right out front so you'll be treated to the sounds of squealing brakes, rumbling engines, and air hisses from 10PM to 6AM. I guess it's because all the truck drivers avoid all the traffic during the day. The only reason it was a problem at this particular hotel is because the windows/walls do a poor job of sound proofing the room and the thermostat is preprogrammed to a warmish temperature making you wish you could crack the window a bit. The food in the lobby is quite pricey. A burger and pork sandwich with drinks cost us $45. The only thing reasonable on the restaurants dinner menu was the prefix meal for €23 a person which included water and wine. The room itself was decorated nicely, very clean with a stylish bathroom.

It was ok. Close to airport with a free shuttle. We were told by others in Barcelona to take bus 190 back and it left us off in a bad neighborhood.

They should include a free breakfast like the other ordinary hotels.

Difficulty with communications with the substitute registration desk clerk. Very limited english speaking staff. So frustrating when you need more informations.

Good position only in relation to the airport, very far away from the city and not connected. By car It was quite hard to localize it. The Price is very good, it's a nice hotel!, but some costs are not included, and a bit expansive (Parking and breakfast).

Place was your standard 4 star accom, which was very nice. If you get in after 1130pm there is no bus shuttle, and a taxi costs 20 Euro.

Facilities at this hotel are modern and very good. The restaurant doesn't open until 8.30 pm, but food can be purchased at the bar - they make an excellent hamburger. The hotel is some distance from the airport and is located in an industrial area so there are no bars or resturants nearby. The hotel's airport shuttle service is good.

The staff was very nice and accomodating

I spent a night with my 13 years old twins. The room was big and comfortable. the bath room was new and outstanding. Big T.V. and a 10 min. shutle drive from the a/p. The only minus was the mini bar refrigerator which was not working.

Noice from traffic

The set menu in the restaurant was very good quality and value for money.

The only thing I did not like is the fact that the person who received me at the reception upon my arrival at the hotel, for some unknown reason to me, confirmed to the taxi driver that I had a booking in the hotel. I found it strange and a bit irritating, because the taxi driver had nothing to do with me being booked or not, and worst, I did not find it relevant that the person at the reception give such an information on me out. I firmly expressed my opinion to the person at the reception.

Very good for the price. Decor would not be of 4 star standard needs upgrading. Staff very efficient.

If you don't have a car there's a bus (109, bus stop close to the hotel) going to barcelona sants.

I WAS SAD TO GIVE THE LOCATION AS BAD BUT THIS COULDN'T BE HELPED. I FOUND THE HOTEL EXCELLENT OTHERWISE, FROM BEING PICKED UP BY THE HOTEL BUS AT THE AIRPORT, FREE BUS AGAIN TO THE NEAREST METRO STATION AND HTE WHOLE PACKAGE AT THE HOTEL. BREAKFAST IS A LITTLE PRICEY BUT PLENTY OF LOCAL CAFES IF YOU DON'T MIND GOING OUT.YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS HOTEL IS AT THE EDGE OF AN INDUSTRIAL ESTATE AND ALL LOCAL AMENITIES CLOSE EARLY.
