Best Western Astor Metropole Hotel & Apartments Brisbane

Location is perfect for shopping and visiting local attractions.

very good location to city and central station. Rooms are a good size and well equipted. I did have to ask for a kettle and tea towel on both ocassions I stayed

Conveniently located to Brisbane CBD shopping, yet reasonable pricing.

Had to wait as only 1 person on at reception to check in and check out guests. Thank goodness it was not busy. no place to park while checking in.

The room we were given had a king bed instead of the twin we had ordered. While we were out an attempt was made to convert the big bed to 2 singles, whereupon the bed head fell off the wall revealing some very sharp screws where my head would be. We were given another room, not nearly as nice as the first one, and not well set up - no towels, shortage of china, only one blanket. These defects were all made good - but my towel had a big hole in it! Service was very cheerful.

Location is excellent, just a short stroll hill down to downtown. Breakfast was very Western, but others perhaps enjoyed the cereals and fresh fruit. I would have never thought that I would have to feel cold during the night, but the aircon did not allow heating and sliding windows were not enough to keep the wind & chill outside. Ordering taxi by taxi companies' own phone lines at reception is very convenient and taxis arrived fast. In warmer weather conditions I wouldn't mind coming back to Astor Metropole.

Hotel was ideal for our needs and we will be booking there again in a few weeks. Would have liked more bedding as nights were very cold.

Good location which away from the busy street. Adequate facility however without good parking facility and yet needing to pay a parking fees.

A reasonable room but not really designed for cooking with warnings of dier consequences if you set off the alarm hence reluctance to cook..defeating purpose of being a serviced apartment. Location and every thing else is good Small hint if you want to get to the carpark press 1 in the lift ( took three days to discover this... Duh)

Good location but undergoing repairs and noisy

The hotel was under renovations at the time of our stay. The staff was very accomodating. The apt was very roomly but a little dated. Just needs to be updated. The price for the room was resonable for the location of the hotel. We had a room with a view of the park and the hotel was a short walk from the downtown business district. We enjoyed our stay and found it to meet our budget. Nothing fancy but it meet our needs.

a nice hotel. breakfast in first [down stairs was good value]and dinner was edable. they seem to be refurbishing the hotel in stages as it is getting old, but still very comfortable.

Great location within walking distance of the city centre. Hotel is ok but quite basic / facilities were good with washing machine, kitchen etc. However there was little or no atmosphere at the hotel and the staff were very unhelpful! The rates to go website states that there is a free AirTrain transfer from the airport but the hotel informed up this offer is now finished.

Good location because it is not affected by the recent floods. Low cost accommodation in the city. The staff is friendly and helpful. Very near to Central Railway Station and main shopping centre. So far, we stayed in this hotel apartment 3 times. We like to come back again in future if the rate is still comparatively low in the area.

The place was still undergoing renovations but didn't affect any of the services or noise level while we were there. Never ate there though. Staff were indifferent to the point of being rude. While a great place otherwise, don't go there is you expect friendly or helpful staff.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, however there were a few things that I would add. I read the description and we did not have majority of the things that the hotel had said they provided. We needed two beds and we had A double bed (Made from two beds pushed together and concealed) and a couch which seconded as a bed. After complaining the staff came promptly to make the new a new bed. However upon making the bed, the staff noticed the sheets were not clean. Also the whole place is under construction currently, so many facilities were off limits.

Checkin was OK. Parking unusual to say the least. We booked a Family tower apartment. 2 adults and a 14year old. Turned out to be just a standard hotel room on 5th floor with a King bed and Euro bed all in the one room with TV and kitchenette and was only two levels up from ground with 15 levels in total. Most other places we've stayed when booking an apartment have had a separate main bedroom. We booked this place for 3 nights over the New Year weekend. Made the most of being in Brisbane.
