"This hotel is out of town and very relaxing. We stayed in a range of hotels and B&B around the UK and this was the best overall. Hotel and Pub experience excellent - excellent value for money. Breakfast okay. Service at all other times was fantastic and I as they recommend taking a bus into the city. The room we had gave a beautiful view. I visited with my disabled 79 yr old mother and was extremely happy with the overall experience." - vari Ingham
"An excellent situation and full of old world charm. Fantastic breakfast and very good, friendly service. Access to Edinburgh City centre is fast, frequent and inexpensive." - Klaus Wahle
"Period hotel, ten minutes from the city centre. Numerous bus routes right outside the door. £10 taxi from town centre. Extremely helpful and pleasant staff. No elevator though. The whole hotel was clean and comfortable. Cosy home from home..!" - Anonymous
"Unremarkable, old fashioned and dowdy. Needs refurbishment. Room quite basic and no view. Very poor access for disabled - no sign of a lift. Over 30 minutes into the city by bus. Not particularly recommended. Staff friendly and helpful." - Anonymous
