The room turned out to be a closet with minimum space. The bathroom facilities were functioning, but makeshift. Quite nice public spaces at ground level do not correspond to the habitacle we were supposed to sleep in.
Small rooms, but clean, tidy comfortable. Bar and restaurant areas - very nice and good price.
Hotel was clean, but strange rooms with off-level floors / doorways etc etc... Room was clean but with inches of space under the door lots of noise from outside could come in. Breakfast in hotel overpriced - I suggest a walk along seafront to somewhere else :-) - staff first told us it was included then wasnt, after we had eaten, which was a bit rude and annoying. That said parking outside was good and not too expensive.
Good value for a sea front location. The small bar is smart & comfortable but sadly no real ale ! My room was quite small so a larger person or someone with loads of luggage may find it cramped. Staff friendly & helpful
Overall it is a good hotel. The room we stayed in was pretty small, as expected given the price we paid, it was generally kept well and had appropriate facilities. There was a view of the sea from the window, but the dried salt spray had given it a 'frosted' quality. The only way you could see the sea was to pear out of the 10cm gap when open. The ensuite was very cramped and looked a bit of a bodge job. You had to sit on the loo sideways as the front of the rim was all but touching the wall. The shower appliance was pretty manky, but was a good power shower if you didn't mind touching the crusty controls. The doors to the room and bathroom were pretty ill fitting so weren't sound proof at all. You could hear exactly what was going on outside (and no doubt inside) the room. Apart from that it was in a great location, the staff were polite and helpful, and the complementary breakfast was perfectly acceptable.
Decoration was tired, bathroom damp, room small.
My wife is disabled and we had a free upgrade from our booking to be nearer the lift which turned out to be a room at the front overlooking the sea!
I was on the 4th floor and the lift was out of order, other than that quite average.
This hotel is in a great location, but it is extremely shabby. There was a huge hole in the reception ceiling, through which rainwater was gushing onto a strategically place plant underneath! The bedroom (a superior double) was a good size but the bathroom was tiny, and did not contain a bath, only a very mouldy shower unit with a broken shower head. Breakfast was ok, with a reasonable selection of foods. Parking was very limited and was £12 per 24 hours, but there is an NCP literally round the corner which charges the same.
The Hotel is easy to find the rooms are average. The en-suite bathroom was very cramped - when you open the shower door it hits the sink before you can get into the shower. The layout of the floors are confusing with the odd set of stairs here and there. Parking is very minimal, (about 10 spaces) and costs £12 per night.
The heating is not working properly. The room is damp as well causing the sheets to be wet.
Its in an excellent place and the service is good - the reception are very helpful also. The price was good (although we got it on [your website], so I guess the normal price is more expensive than that!). It could be in a better condition because since its on the sea front it would need some more 'TLC'. There are certain things that are carelessly done and need some maintenance, such as the bath.
Expected Breakfast included, but it wasn't.Instead they wanted 9.99 pounds per head for breakfast, which I thought was outrages!
Nice unassuming friendly hotel in good position. I got a sea-view single room at a bargain rate so definitely no complaints.
We have stayed here a couple of times, the first was in a normal double room which was tiny, you could hardly open the door as the bed was in the way. This time we stayed in a superior double which was roomier and more pleasant, the bathroom needs a bit of attention though, bath under an eave, no shower, bath panel coming away, insufficient lighting.
