Best Western Carlos V Hotel Madrid Guest Reviews

4.4 out of 5

a well priced friendly hotel in a very central location, but amazingly quiet.

4.2 out of 5

Right in the city center in the shopping area, within a walking distance to the Prado Museum and Royal Palace. Staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel had a bar/restaurant and free access to internet (including on their PCs). The only downside was the noise coming from the street the whole night. Good value for money though!

Great location just off Puerta del Sol, surrounded by great shopping too! Not a flashy hotel, but comfortable and nice enough for a good city break.

The location is good as it's centrally located between the Grand Via and Puerta del Sol. The room was small but big enough. The room was in decent condition but, the matresses were worn out! The pillows, also, had no support. The bath was generously sized and clean. The breakfast is not a good value for 9 euro + vat (they don't tell you about that). There isn't much choice and the quality isn't good, eat elsewhere. There is alot of choice in madrid and I would choose elsewhere upon my return to Madrid.

The room was kept clean and the location is pretty good. It's near the Plaza Mayor, restaurants, shops and the Metro station. Also, I was expecting Madrid to be noisy but it didn't seem that noisy at all from our hotel room. So, I'm really glad with its location.

Good location and easy access to the attractions in the city. it's along the shopping belt so it's perfect for shoppaholics. However, the downside was that we couldn't access the wi-fi from the hotel room and the internet connection only worked in the hotel bar/cafe area.

This hotel was in a very good position for access to the old area. We undertook a couple of tours and found that getting to the bus depot was extremely easy. A large supermarket is close by and there are lots of restaurants in close proximity. The breakfast was very good and the room was very quiet and quite spacious. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Madrid.

Rip off with shuttle service. I paid 20e everyone else got it for free. Insolent front desk. Unwilling to help! Front desk both day and night spoke little to NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO english. Very unwilling. Very tired of guests it appeared. There was one very young boy who wore a beige shirt all the time that stood behind and was very very nice with good English but seemed never allowed to help. Scam on not getting shuttle. Great happy hour. Improper for housekeepers to march thru restuarant in mass and take food off buffet bar and exit......odd.

Excellent location. Rooms a little noisy a night and a bit dingy but small bathroom was spotlessly clean and well equipped. If we were back in Madrid we would stay there again.

The hotel location is perfect!!!. It is in the center of the center. All the activities are close Atractions ,Bars & Flamenco bars. We had the rooms on the street. It was much more queit then expected. almost no noise at all. The rooms are slightly small but clean and well maintained. I will difintly will come again.

Hotel in an ideal location for exploring the city. Most attractions within easy walking distance. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We attemptd to use the hotel bus service from airport to hotel but it didn't arrive. The return service, prebooked with the hotel did, which was very successful.Once again the staff were excellent. Would definitely recommend and would use again.
