"The layout of the room was good. You could hear noise from another room. The sheets were clean, but it was disappointing to find particles of dirt sitting on the bottom sheet. The carpet hadn't been vaccumed. There was plastic that holds price tags on new clothing, bits of cotton and lint on the carpet. I was too frightenend to walk in bare feet on the dirty carpet. The toilet even though it was clean had a disgusting smell. The meal and service in the dining room was great. Although it was upsetting to see lipstick on the supposedly clean wine glass on the table and at breakfast I was not impressed with haveing to sit at a table that had not been wiped clean. Situated in York Street, one of the major city arteries and located between George and High Streets. It is approximately 800 meters from the P.O. on the east side of the city.
When approaching from Hobart or Launceston Airport along Bathurst Street, turn right into Howick Street. Proceed to the T Junction, turn left into High Street. Drive approx. 1 km to the first set of traffic lights, turn left and the Country Comfort is just around the corner.
Launceston is 15 minutes from the airport. Hire cars,taxis and shuttle buses are readily available. |
