" It is at the edge of the city centre at about 300 mtrs. from the “Grote Markt”. Apart from the cosy restaurant there is a cosy bar and there is a sauna and terrace too. In front of the hotel there are some free parking places. We had a room at the back side, with a rather small double bed with good mattresses but rather soft pillows. The room has a bath/shower (with all the necessary amenities), WC, hairdryer, color-TV, coffee-tea facilities, telephone, mini-bar, airconditioning. The TV, with about 28 channels in Dutch, English, German and French, is the best we ever had in a hotel. Although the room was near the elevator it hardly bothered us, because between our sleeping room and the elevator was the bathroom. It is all very clean.
Breakfast is really very, very good. Both nights we had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. Staff looks competitive in being as kind as possible and is very helpful, and can arrange five different cycling-tours. " - johannes peters

Since 01/06/07 you'can taste of the several local beers at or terrace.
The hotel also has a small fitness room and a privat sauna.
Another ace up our sleeve is our extremely suitable location: near the exit of the E19 Brussels-Antwerp motorway, only 20 minutes from Brussels International Airport (Zaventem) and on walking distance of the city centre and the railway station.
Because of the small scale and the committed staff, you will feel instantly at home.

If you're coming from Antwerp:
Take E19 Brussels-Antwerp motorway. You remain on this motorway (E19) until you reach exit 9 (afrit 9)
for Mechelen-Noord (Mechelen-North).
•after taking the slip road off the motorway, you should turn right at the next crossroads
•you come to a crossroads with McDonald and go right again
•after the 4th set of lights you turn right again (in front of the historic building)
•after crossing the bridge, you will see “Gulden-Anker” straight in front of you
if you're coming from Brussels:
First get onto the Mechelen-Antwerp motorway (E19). You continue on this motorway and then take exit 10 Mechelen-Zuid (Mechelen-South):
•continue on this road (straight ahead on the roundabout) until you come to the first crossroads over the bridge
•go left at this crossroads
•at the following crossroads (50 metres further) you turn right
•if you continue on this road you will see the flags of “Gulden Anker” after 1 km
