"There were two things we should comment on:
We didn't expect it to be so far from the center of Koln. Once we figured out the Metro system it was no big deal.
Also, we were VERY surprised by the train running through our room at unpredictable times. There is no mention of Noise pollution in anything we could find about the hotel. The tracks run very close to the hotel, and we were on the side next to the tracks. I don't think we'd stay there more than a night or two because of the noise. It surely wouldn't be our choise for a long term stay.... " - Frank Heiss
"The hotel is easy to find coming by car from autoroad A4 and it is located in a main road. The staff is friendly, speaks good English and helps you to visit touristic points. Breakfast is good. The room is clean and quite. Although there is a parking place free of charge in front of the hotel, there are places for few cars only. On the way to the subway station, you pass under railroads bridges and you may feel unconfortable passing there at night. It is a good choice for the price." - Lourival Salles Almeida Neto
"The location isn't the best - it is a good 5-10 minute walk from the Kalk Kapelle train station, in an area which would be somewhat intimidating for the female traveller having to hike through the dark alone to find it. Though once on the train, it is very easy to get to Heumarkt station. The facilities were good, and the staff quite helpful and friendly." - Anonymous

By car:
From the north (Duesseldorf/Ruhr district) or the south (Frankfurt) over A 3 and from the east (Olpe) over A 4 to Cologne east. Follow the signs “Köln City” to departure Cologne Vingst (B8)
From the west (Aachen) over A 4 to cross Gremberg, then on A 559 direction Cologne Deutz and of the airport Cologne/Bonn over A 59, then on A 559 direction Cologne Deutz to departure Cologne
Vingst.
From the left Rhine side coming, you drive best over the Deutzer bridge, continue to yourselves hold right on the of “Gabelnez Straße”, directly again left into the “Siegburger Straße”, the “Mindener Straße” and Opladener Straße”.
By train or poublic transportation:
With public means of transport you use the lines 1 or 9 up to the station “Kalk-Kapelle”. From here you walk about 500 m toward “Höhenberg” or railway bridge. Behind it on the right side you see the Best Western Hotel Cologne.
