Inconvenient location and to far from any tourist type of place to see. Takes for ever to catch a taxi anywhere near hotel. And asking the hotel reception to call taxi the minimum charge is EUR 35! The elevator in the building is about the size of a dog cage and moves in slow motion. Better not get any room on floor higher then 3rd.
Really very good hotel for Paris (ie bigger rooms for the price than the usual). Quite close (5 mins) from nearest metro although if you want to be in the thick of it this will not be for you. In a quiet residential area a fair walk from the Arc de Triomphe and not many restaurants around. A nice bolt hole from the crazy centre at tourist-time. Good breakfast also (included in our deal otherwise a bit pricey). Very clean and modern.
I was there in 2004 but ifeel it good to remember and write now It was Nice clean and small hotel , Good room with Flat TV, avarage breakfast and very small lobby and old lift In general it is good for its location and price.
We were upgraded to the duplex room which was a lovely surprise - nice view of Paris from the panoramic bedroom windows. Rooms were dated and needed TLC. Lift can only fit 2 people at a time but never had a problem with availability. Wagram metro station just around the corner (very handy) and 7 min stroll to Arc de Triumphe. Nice location being out of the normal tourist districts.
A comfortable hotel for a short stay, well located
Nice Hotel. Small breakfast bar but service was very good
Extremely small lift, literally only big enough for one person with a medium sized case. Rooms facing the street were quite noisy. Rooms were very nice, modern decor, bathrooms immaculate. Fresh towels every day. Very good location, 15 minute walk to Arc de Triomphe.
The design of the room and bathroom was very very nice, modern and sharp, the personal very friendly. Excellent quality for the price, I was very pleased.
Very convenient to the Metro and about a 10 minute walk to the Champs Elysee. Hotel was easy to find and easy to travel from to any of the sights. Rooms quite small but everything we needed for our weekend break. Breakfast - nice continental spread and served right up until 10am which is handy when you have been sampling too much red wine the night before.
This small art deco style hotel is well placed, approx 15-20 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomphe (where the airport bus drops you) and minutes away from the Wagram metro stop. We had a junior suite, on offer, with one night free. It sounded a little more glamorous than it was in reality being quite small, but it was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom facilities excellent. We were on the quieter side of the building but, with the airconditioning and excellent double glazing I don't think it would be a problem on the busier side. Continental Breakfast very good, staff charming and helpful. We would stay again.
I found the hotel to be well situated and good value for money. It was an easy walk to a good shopping area and comfortable with good ensuites. It has a good lift, and there was no problem arriving to check in at 11.30 pm at night.
Small, clean and efficient Hotel. Close to the Metro (Wagram), which made it very convienent to travel. Would consider staying at the Hotel again, for either short or long stays.
Myself and my husband have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Mercedes Hotel. I found the hotel on your website and we decided to book it thanks to the good reviews we'd found on line. We've never been to Paris before so the hotel was an excellent base for us as it was literally 2 mins from the Metro (Wagram). Within minutes we were wherever we wanted to be! Better still, the Champs Elysee/Arc de Triomphe is literally a couple of minutes walk away! With a supermarket/coffee shops/patisserie and chocolaterie literally beside the hotel, what more could you ask for! The room was a great size and completely adequate as a base! Cleanliness at a hotel is a big priority and we found absolutely no fault with the hotel on this important area. Breakfast was lovely and I really can't compliment the staff more - extremely efficient, friendly and above all, helpful!! All in all a wonderful stay - we will definately be back!!
A very nice 1930's art decor style hotel. Perfect for the short stay for which was completing the Paris Marathon 2005.
Nice hotel in good location, nice big room and bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice and clean.
Interesting art deco style but rooms a bit smaller than awaited. LCD TV ;-) Breakfast was more than the Parisien standard. 300m to Metro but 1/2 hr ride into the city centre. Supermarket across the street, restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend it.
The art deco decoration of the basement breakfast room is wonderful, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. My only criticism would be that the bedroom and bathroom were rather small, but that would not stop me from staying at this hotel again.
Staff was very helpful, beyond what would be expected. Breakfast was pretty good. Big problem was 2 nights and one day without hot water. Location only 2 minutes from metro and city bus but a $40.00 taxi ride from airport. Restaurants within walking distance.
Beautiful deco style hotel in a convenient area. As big as many of the big name hotels I've stayed at in the States for the same cost with a better bathroom. Staff were very helpful and warm. Only drawback was I needed high speed internet connection. It was not working when I arrived. I also learned it is not free as I had understood. I walked two blocks and picked up an open wireless connection for free while I had coffee. All in all, best hotel experience I've had in Europe.
Excellent base to see the sights of Paris. Close to a metro and in a residential area so it is a bit quieter and feels like a nice safe area.
