Located on the characteristic “rock of Positano” the Best Western Hotel Pasitea is a perfect example of Mediterranean architecture with its masonry, lava stone and wrought iron furnishing. Completely renovated, the hotel has a typical terrace-structure, rooms with air conditioning, TV sat, ADSL connection and individual balconies overlooking the sea. All rooms facing a wonderful seaside landscape and the suites with a “sea view” Jacuzzi. The hotel has also a very particular Wine Bar, where it is possible to have dinner, tasting the best products of the Italian gastronomy, taken by a qualified selection of national wines. The Bar service is operating 24 hours on 24 and the hotel has also private car park to payment.

The hotel is located high on a hill, so it affords excellent views. There are also a good selection of restaurants within 5-10 mins walk of the hotel. The major disadvantage of its location is that the main tourist area (down by the beach) is located a fair distance away, so walking there is not recommended unless you are able and keen - buses are available for those without a car. The hotel itself has no car parking facilities - cars must be parked at a parking station (valet service) located about 100m from the hotel. The hotel rooms are quite small and nothing fancy, but are clean and functional. Our room offered good views from the balcony. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and spoke English well. The hotel is recommended for those who don't want to spend a lot on accommodation but still want the million-dollar views of Positano. But it's not recommended for those who want to be close (walking distance) to the main action.
Couldn't have been better. Tony is the best. We only wish we had the time to stay a littlle longer.

The Executive with Jacuzzi has a private bathroom with bath or shower, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, wall hair dryer, a big suite with 2 chair or additional beds, a big JACUZZI sea-view in the bedrooms and with a very big terrace with a wonderful sea-view.
We had the best time here, the most amazing room overlooking the sea, from very own amazing balcony. Loved it. Can't wait to go back.
This pretty Mediterranean style hotel is well located to SITA bus from Sorrento (just down ~40 steps or ~300 metres on the DOWN road opposite bus stop).Unfortunately a long walk (~1hr) uphill from beach/port (so use taxi or local bus-theres a stop right outside). Faster return walk via steps (dir. Spiaggia beach).Unfortunately tiled floors in corridors meant that rooms suffer from internal noise from other guests/staff (no street noise though !).Downsides: dear internet & average breakfast service; sparse meal service other times, but well located to brilliant restaurants on road below hotel (such as the excellent Saracena D'oro)
Hotel clean and friendly. Front desk were very helpful with bus timetables, airport details, local knowledge etc. The hotel is situated fairly high up in Positano so to get back from the beach it's a 20-30 minute walk up hill via the road or around 20 mins via many, many steps - you will have toned calves after this visit! All in all reasonable price, nice views from most rooms and good breakfast.
Please go to Positano at least once in your life if you want to see something special and very romantic. The way from Sorrento to Naples is very Italian, beautiful and really amazing. The buses from Sorrento go every hour (1,3 eur), so you do not need to take a taxi if you do not want. It is really very beautiful even during Italian winter. Very nice place, very nice hotel, very nice view at the balcony!
undoubtly has one of the best views for a hotel, but facility were not working properly (hair dryer). bonus, it has a balcony. very pricey and hard to get to. catch a taxi!
Great outlook from rooms. Rooms quite large. Breakfast choice was good. Would stay here again.

A charming hotel which we all thoroughly enjoyed. An authentic Italian experience that one might not expect from a hotel chain, right down to the restored vintage vespa in the lobby.

THIS HOTEL WAS VALUE FOR MONEY, SUPPLYING COMFORTABLE AND MODERN ROOMS AND AN EXCELLENT BREAKFAST. THE STAFF WERE ONLY TOO WILLING TO ASSIST WHENEVER REQUIRED.

Very much enjoyed Positano and the hotel.
The hotel was about a 10 walk to the main beach and about 20 min back as it is near the top of the hill. The hotel its self is very pleasent and the decor is good all in all I would definately consider returning.

Both my husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The view from our room was wonderful ovelooking the coastline. The reception staff arranged transport to restaurants up in the hills which were great. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
