Best Western Hotel Takayama

Great hotel. Within a few minutes walking distance of the train station and Takayama tourist attractions and great local resturants.

Great spot, well located near JR station - would recommend for short stays in Takayama to anyone.

This hotel is well located within a few minutes walk of the railway station, and close to the main tourist sights of Takayama. Our room was of a reasonable size, but was in some need of updating. In particular, the lighting was inadequate, especially the bedside lighting, which seemed to be falling apart. The view from the room was of a TV aerial and ramshackle nearby properties, but the distant mountains could just be seen. Free internet access was provided and there was a laptop provided at reception for free use by clients. Breakfast was very good and good value, with a reasonably wide choice of Japanese and Western dishes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience. I would be happy to stay here again.

Good choice for Takayama

Excellent location, near train station

Hotel is a short walk from the station. Eateries around here close very early so plan to have lunch not dinner. Room was good size and the no smoking policy had been enforced. Internet in the lobby is sloow but free. Staff were very helpful but spoke only a little English.

The hotel was perfectly located one block from the train station. The room was cramped with a 3rd bed squeezed in but for 2 people the size would be fine. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The room was very clean & the bathroom good. Would definitely return.

This is a nice hotel, but I don't understand why it is more expensive than better hotels not only in towns like Kurashiki but also even in Tokyo.

Nice little hotel in walking distant of everything. Note the room is very small.

Nice rooms, very helpful staff and good location. It wasn't exactly a bargain but after seeing some of the other similarly priced Takayama options while we were there, it was probably the best pick.
