Best Western Lansdowne Hotel Eastbourne Guest Reviews

4.6 out of 5

Only stayed one night but room was newly decorated, well equiped with tea and coffee making facilities and importantly a comfortable bed. Free wifi is a bonus to normal rip off charge made by many budget chains. Breakfast was included. Self service with but extensive choices to suit all tastes and appetites.

3.6 out of 5

This is a very quiet hotel. The bar closed at 11 pm at which time the night porter went around and turned off the lights and locked the door. People who were coming in after that time wanting a drink were just going to bed instead. The room was small for two people and the shower very weak. The breakfast and evening restaurant were good and the staff pleasant.

Ideally situated for beachy head & town. Excellent seaviews. Full engish breakfast was great start to a long journey home. Thank you very much.

First impressions were poor. We arrived at 10 p.m. to find reception in darkness, and eventually, a rather miserable looking man appeared, and gave us far from a cheery reception. The rooms were lovely, but rather small, and the double bed was far too small! Amy couple booking would need a king sized bed. Lovely to have a sea view, but it was rather noisy, due to the fact that it also overlooked the main road. Overall, a very good hotel. Would stay there again, but only in a room with a king sized bed, and with a room which would be quieter, perhaps not overlooking the sea.
