Getting there:The property is located on the spectacular Great Ocean Road approximately 2 hours south west of Melbourne. Follow the Princess Highway towards Geelong and turn off onto the Great Ocean Road ( B100 ) past Torquay and Angelsea.

The Coachman Inn is adjacent to a caravan site, on the edge of the town - just within walking distance. The accommodation is motel style, with reasonable facilities. During our stay, the service was friendly and helpful.
We did enjoy this hotel located close to beach and beach front facilities. Wished we had stayed longer

Fantastic place to stay know where we will be staying next time in Lorne. As a disabled person it was the first time I had stayed at a motel that has a special disabled room. The props are very helpful &very down to earth people.Thank guys!

No outlook. Continental breakfast provided night before. Excellent staff.
The place was clean and service very friendly. Loved the location with the River across the road, supermarket virtually next door and a very short walk to the main stree. Car parking, BBQ, guest laundry and internet facilities were all available. The only downside was that the hotel lacked outdoor areas. Eg. No balconies, pool, garden areas. There was 1 BBQ spot with outdoor table, but this was only big enough for one group of people at a time. Stairs were no problem for us but there were no lifts and some people may need to consider this if they are on the top floor.
Very comfortable studio apartment, a short walk from shops, restaurants and cafes. Friendly management and good value for money on a special 3 night stay deal. We would stay again.
It was very nice to see the Sulphur Crested Cockatoos and the King Parrots up close. A very enjoyable and pleasent place to stay.
My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst tripping around the Great Ocean Road. We were a little dubious when we pulled in, from the outside of the building, but we were pleasantly surprised. I had found this motel (with others for our trip) on the internet and paid attention to the comments on them all. As other comments had suggested, I would have to say that this was value for money at $90.00/night as the room was quite nice, very clean and well appointed. The owner/managers, Angela and Terry were very friendly and helpful. I wish that we had more time to spend in Lorne. I would certainly stay there again if down that way. Well done Guys!
Terry our host was great, very friendly and obliging. He'd turned the heater on before we got there to make sure the room was warm, he gave us great tips on where to eat and what to see & do in the area. We would thoroughly recommend the Coachman to anyone visiting Lorne.

The service was absolutely fantastic, the owners were friendly and helpful. Our only issue was the cost of the cooked breakfasts which were too high for what was served. Having said that we will definetely be back

It is a very comfortable place for an overnight stay. The electric kettles in the rooms were rusted.
