Getting there:Mango House Resort is only 20 mins from the Bruce Highway. Turn off towards Airlie Beach & the Whitsundays and follow road through the town. We are app. 2 kms on the right from Airlie Beach. The area is serviced by both train and air. The train station is in Proserpine(20 mins). The nearest airport serviced by both Qantas and Virgin is 30 mins away.
Check-in Procedure:Please advise arrival time if you anticipate arriving after 6pm.
Car parking:There is off street or undercover parking by apartments. Boats and large trailers may be accommodated.
Child Policy:Children under 2 years age with own bedding stay for free. Cot hire $15.00 per night.
Would recommend to families as everything is provided including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer which is a must for the parents.
It was well situated, with a tavern across the road which served great meals, a shopping centre and IGA located across the road, bus stops at the front, and a pick up point for island boat cruises.
We hadn't expected Mango House resort to be quite so far out from the centre, but the walk into Airlie Beach only took 20minutes. We arrived 2hrs earlier than check-in, and asked if we could park the car before walking into town. We were surprised to find the room ready and the receptionist very pleasant and keen to show us around, despite a fully booked Resort. The apartment on the second floor was lovely, louvres all round as an alternative to the air-conditioning, and a good sized balcony where we ate at night. Cooking facilities were excellent, and we were surprised to find a washing machine and dryer in a cupboard off the bedroom. The bedroom was compact, but very clean and comfortable. We chose to shop for groceries and liquor at the shops just across the road, but have heard that the nearby tavern is well recommended. We will certainly stay there again, as we found the staff pleasant, the apartment comfortable, and the surroundings attractive.
very new and clean. fully contained, convience shop and bottle shop next door. Close to airlie beach, next to bus that runs regularly to the main strip. Owners had lots of brochures for activities in airlie beach. an enjoyable hotel
rooms facing highway are subject to considerable traffic noise. Otherwise pleasant.
Beautiful apartments with great facilities. Bus or taxi required to get into town.
A far way from town but service was good and nicely kept.
