A great chain hotel very near the Bucicaut Metro (8) which is handy for everywhere. Some of the staff were outstanding, others perhaps need to smile more- but is that just Paris? Room was reasonable size, good aircon, good ensuite but soundproofing from other rooms was poor (from outside was excellent) and we could not get the hotel staff to replenish the coffee/tea in our room daily. Good breakfast. Overall, we'd use this hotel again and we will recommend it.

Overall the hotel itself is very nice! Beautiful interior and decent rooms, though they are extremely small. The price is decent especially considering we stayed during the new year. The location is excellent, "walking" distance to le tour eiffel, the metro is right outside the door, easy transfers to the Louvre and all the big sights. La rue Felix-Fraure has many shops and cafes. It is a very quite area and things close early so you won't be able to grab food or anything near by after a late night. There is a mini fridge so you can buy things, it also comes pre-stocked. They also have a long breakfast service that was ok. Staff are touch and go, we had some ups and downs with them. I wouldn't stay here again because of this, the manager was far too rude to me at one point. She was very helpful though in other respects. As I said, I wouldn't stay here again though, I'm really big on customer service.

I was in Hotel Montcalm last week for 6 nights. Conveniently located just facing the metro Boucicaut (Line 8) with a supermarket (Monoprix- closed on Sundays) at 100m, in a nice and calm neighborhood, therefore don’t expect any nightlife around except few cafes. Small clean room (including a double bed, closet, safe box, desk, chair,TV,AC, minibar) and bathroom, fair for the price. The free Wifi was out of order the 1st day but OK after that. Staff was courteous and polite, but not the most convivial I’ve met. Breakfast ( 3 types of coffees, tea, cocoa, milk (hot and cold), 4 juices, 4 bread choices, croissants, 4 cheeses, 3 cold cuts, 3 jams, honey, 2 cakes, 2 corn-flakes, cold hard boiled eggs, fruit salad, yogurts , etc.) was great compared to other 3 stars in Paris. Couldn’t open my door with the magnetic key on day 3 and again on day 5, but the key was re-programmed immediately at the reception. I do recommend this hotel.

My wife and daughter stayed in the hotel for a week. The location is excellent (very close to a metro station), but the service... 1. The minibar was out of order (fixed on the second day). 2. The locker was out of order - and remained so for the whole week in spite of frequent reminders! 3. On the last day of the stay, returning late night they found the door to the apartment wide open! Nothing was stolen, apparently, but then nothing really valuable had been left. 4. Upon checkout, the staff attempted to charge for breakfasts, even though this was included in the price (and verified at check-in).

The hotel is just few steps from the metro Boucicaut (line 8), in a nice neighbourhood. Free wifi is an asset of this hotel. The room I stayed in was nothing special but equalled what I expected for the price.

We stayed here in May 2009. It's right opposite the metro station, hence easy access to all tourist attractions in Paris. Clean and comfortable hotel, although very tiny rooms and elevators. Overall good value for money.

Pleasant hotel in quiet area. Room was cramped even for one person, although it was crammed with all the facilities you would expect from a 4* hotel. Free Wifi with a signal that was actually strong enough was a bonus - a bugbear with so many hotels in Paris. Not much choice of decent restaurants in the area, but is a handy Monoprix 2 minutes walk away. Tube travel is main form of transport to and from hotel as taxi's hard to come by in the area.

Nice hotel, price was something that attracted us. The best part is the breakfast. Rooms are really really small. Impossible to get to the bathroom but guess that is how it is with all Parisian hotels. Metro just 20 steps away. Would recommend it as it is in a really nice and safe part of Paris.

Excellent price and service. The room was spacious and air-conditioned. Close (50m) to underground service was a bonus. Would reccomend to anyone.

The room provided to us was very small especially when we booked for 2 adults + 1 child. The extra cot (not a baby cot!) offered to us filled the entire remaining space in the room and so we asked the staff to take it away...although we paid for it. Otherwise, the reception staff is friendly & speak English. Close to the Metro station. Overall - a good stay for the money spent!

Room assigned was on main floor close to the reception but as the windows opened to the courtyard, there was very little noise from the busy street on which it was located. It was also a room for wheelchair access so we had a large bathroom. This hotel is a few feet away from the Metro which is great. You do not have time to get wet when it rains. Lots of food services around: bakery, cheese, general groceries, etc. We found a wonderful and inexpensive pasta restaurant on the same street. We walked to many of the sites we wanted to see although some were a little far. When tired, we just jumped on the Metro which runs frequently and everywhere. The breakfast which was included was good and plentiful. The staff at the reception and in the the breakfast area was welcoming and very informative.

We arrived in Paris before 09:00 and arrived at the hotel by 10:00; we only expected to be able to leave our bags in the store, but we were told that our room was already ready for us to check into, which was an immediate plus point! Hotel staff were courteous and approachable, there was hardly a language barrier w/ the reception person, but unfortunately, the housekeeping staff spoke little English, but it didn't stop them trying to communicate and assist thru gestures and hand movements. I would happily recommend this hotel to other users and the free wi-fi was an added bonus!

While the hotel is not in the usual tourist areas of Paris, its location is excellent for the visitor. It is only a few steps from the Metro and there are very convenient cafés, restaurants, bakeries, and markets. We were very pleased with our stay and especially with the friendly and helpful staff.

The location of the hotel is ok it is about 1 minute from the underground. The neighborhood is nice. The room was not large but it was clean and equipped normally. The breakfast is correct. The staff at the reception was nice and helpful, but I was not so satisfied with the room serving staff. There was no big problem, the room was cleaned correctly, but not reloading the toilet paper and the shower gel / shampoo for days can be annoying. Especially since the airport security regulations are strict about liquids, for one who travels only with hand luggage it can be important . It is not a big deal, but now after reading some reviews I see other guests also ran into the problem in this hotel, so maybe they should pay more attention for this.
