A friendly place in a great spot! One minute walk to more than 30 restaurants. Centrally located in Kingston on the South side of Lake Burley Griffin and only a few minutes from Parliament House, Australian National Gallery, High Court of Australia and Questacon Science and Technology Centre. The Kingston shopping area is just outside the back gate with a variety of excellent restaurants, banks, bars, shops and supermarket. It is a quiet, convenient location close to the major tourist and business areas. Close to the local bus stop and inter-state train station with free pick-up available. Best Western Motel Monaro has a 3+ star AAA rating and all rooms are ensuite with Air conditioners/Heaters, telephone, television, tea/coffee making facilities, toaster, refrigerator with mini bar of drinks and snacks. We arrived late and arrangements for the key had been made. Polite and efficient staff were available through the day time. The price was excellent comparatively within the area. & the room was spottlessly clean. These things helped make our weekend away just perfect!!
The service at the motel was very good and the staff were eager to please. The only thing I would say is that it was a bit noisy but I understand you can't keep places quiet like that with guests coming and going at all hours of the night. This is just a comment, not a complaint. I was impressed with the hotel and the assistance given.

Good, quiet location, convenient to National Art Gallery, Lake Burley walks, Direct Factory Outlet at Fyshwick and Kingston shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms small, but clean and well equipped.
Great motel in funky Kingston. Rooms are very clean and have everything you need. Perfect place for a brief stay.
Very convenient position. Walk to the National Gallery and railway station. Familky room had a small bedroom off main room. Knives forks microwave provided.
Older hotel,rooms small but beautifully presented & maintained. Very close to resturants, shops, within walkin distance to art gallery, lake etc. Would stay again

The location near Kingston and Manuka shops and restaurants is terrific. It's a no-frills slightly old-fashioned motel, but the bathrooms are nicely modern.
Fantastic location and the room was neat and well appointed too. Some renovations were in the process of being completed at this property which made the parking a bit tight, but other than that, it was a very pleasant place to stay.
Clean, new shower/toilet. Quite through the night. Good bed, sheets. Will stay there again

A little pricey for basic accommodation. Clean and Comfortable though.
A very average hotel in need of a complete update. Clean but basic facilities.
Walking distance to railway station. Comfortable, smallish but adequate room. Teapot, percolator and sachet real coffee provided. No microwave.
Plumbing in other rooms very noisy. Also, people start leaving very early in the morning so again noisy. But excellent for local restaurants.
While the facilities are ageing, the location and staff service make your stay enjoyable and stress free. The staff were willing to assist with any and every request, even going beyond the the expected service.
For the rates to go overnight charge I would expect the motel to have cable TV as others do.
good basic hotel especially for the traveller needing a comfortable bed as the main priority. Noise from upstairs bathrooms a little too loud. On the whole suited my needs perfectly.
My stay was fine, although the hotel is very noisy. Seems the walls are made of paper. Not very restful since many people left before 7.
