Nice, inexpensive hotel. Neighborhood is not great, but if you know what you are doing, it's not bad. BART and Muni are only a couple of blocks away. Sightseeing is also close. Great location for Folsom street festival.
Hotel was clean but did not readily offer amenities such as coffee for any length of time, and no coffee shops were located nearby. They did not provide covers for coffee cups making carrying coffee to the room extremely difficult esp when carrying two cups
Room with 2 double beds or room with one king bed or room with one queen bed. All rooms are non-smoking and rooms newly renovated in 2008.
The location and room were alright but there was no AC! Which is strange since I never stayed in a non-AC Hotel. I suppose on any regular day in SF you'd probably not need it, but it just so happened to be in the 80's this weekend and it made for an uncomfortable stay. They also didn't stock hand soap...another strange missing amenity.
This Hotel was ideally placed to access transportation around the city, being only 3 blocks from City Hall and also Powell and Market streets. It was quiet except for the Evening of the Pride parade. The amenities were very adequate and the service was excellent.
When my flight arrived early they were very good in accommodating me for an early check in
A great bargain for a good place to hang your hat at the end of the day. The hotel is designed around courtyards, and the coming and going of other guests can be noisy. The neighborhood also looks a bit shady, but I think it's just looks...no one gave me a hard time, and the hotel is convenient to mass transit and tourist destinations.
I had a wonderful time at Best Western Americania Hotel in San Francisco. I hope to return to the hotel next year. The staff were very helpful and courtesious. I can recommend this hotel very highly.
perfect location.the shuttle to city was great idea(safe)i'll be back
The hotel was really good, I liked the service I got from those working at the hotel and also the complimentary internet and shuttles to Union Square. I give the location a Good rating since the hotel is on the 7th street which is a little bit to close to 6th street. Pricing was good, but I've seen better! :)
