Best Western Plus President Hotel At Times Square Guest Reviews

3 out of 5

I always stay here for the price and the location, but there's nothing else that's attractive about this place. Most rooms are rather small, some over-heated and the cleanliness of the bathrooms could improve a tad. Best Western Hotels can be a bit tacky, but this one is the only hotel I've encountered in over 30 years of extensive travel that actually charges money to hold bags on check-out. Considering the price of other NYC hotels and the prime location of this place, I wouldn't make much of a fuss about this, but it's still rather tacky.

The staff was very warm and welcoming! They were very accomodating and I would return to this hotel. It was also great to be able to check our bags at the hotel for a later departure from the city. Excellent service.

Located in the Chesea Times Square Neighborhood Between two major strips, This off Broadway Boutique style Best Western is a great competitor to its neighbors located in the high energy center of New York city's entertainment district.

This hotel was in a great location located 1 block off times square. It was so nice to have our hotel be in so close to all different attractions so we didn't have to walk so far. The hotel was very clean and the staff was always helpful. However, 2 of our nights they forgot to give us towels.

This hotel is in the best location to theaters, restaurants & shops. Rooms are very small but clean. I have stayed here several times & will stay there again on my next trip. Staff is sometimes friendly & other times not so.

Personnel sympa.

The room was good just a bit small. the service was fine. The breakfast was very good. The business center is not really one;only 2 computers and a printer. Overall though it was pretty good.

The hotel was in a great location and a surprisingly affordable price. The rooms were also bigger by NYC standards. The hotel was a little run down in the hall ways and the air conditioning was either extremely cold or non existent.

The location is perfect for those that want to be in Times Square (and we did). We had no issues with late night noise. Of course, we didn't get in until midnight most nights. The staff was friendly and the room was good size (we had a jr. suite). It's hard to find a decent size room in NYC. I have to recommend the restaurant Hurley's located just next door. We enjoyed two great dinners there and their homemade sangria. However, we were not impressed with the Vietnemese (sp?) restaurant next door. We would definitely stay here again.

clean, quiet, comfortable, convenient, a bargain, would recommend without hesitation. the only problem we had was operating the shower but it is our fault for not asking for help. this hotel is much better than the hotel from my last trip. Because of the convenient location my granddaughter and I were able to have 4 fun filled days in New York. We planned out every day and were able to do so much more than I thought we would because of your location. The trip was a present to my granddaughter for getting accepted into pharmacy school and the memories will last a lifetime for both of us. I love Manhattan and can assure you I will stay with you again. After hurricane Katrina, our family lived at the Best Western in Destin, Fl for 2 months and have returned there running from another hurricane and will go back if I have to evacuate again. We were treated so well there that this was part of the reason I chose to stay with you this time. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Room and hotel were as expected. Room was small but there is so much to do that we only went to the hotel to sleep. Staff was friendly. Location is great; right in Times Square.

I just loved. A very good place to stay. I probably would stay there again and recommend for my friends. I missed some security to get in the hotel, but i notest that this kinf of thing doesn't exist in nyc. Well, it was a very pleasant stay, for shopping, and I really beliave I made the best choice for how much I wanted to spend. Very good vacation time!

We arrived on the hottest day of the year in NYC. On the good side: Room was nice & cool. Bed comfortable and room clean. On the not so good side: the "decor" was tacky. Room was very small. But, we only needed a clean comfortable room to sleep in. We spent our time out on the town. If I ever return to NYC, I would definitely stay there again. Staff was courteous and helpful also.

When we went to check in they had no record of [...]making reservations but after 20 minutes they found them the staff was very helpfull and friendly they actually let us go up to our room early because it was already cleaned but two nights in a row we asked for extra pillows and never got them when we walked in the room there was pieces of cereal on the floor and when we left 3 days later it was still there after the first day we used up the facecloths and they never put new ones in so its the housekeeping staff that is that is terrible not the rest of the staff

The Best Western President Hotel at Times Square was a great choice for my daughter and me on our first visit to NYC. We went to NYC with the intention of seeing plays and visiting museums and parks. The hotel was in easy walking distance to all of the Broadway plays and close to the TKTS booth. Plus, it offered a quiet night's sleep because its location is mid-48th Street between 8th and 7th AVES. In addition, several subway locations were within one to two blocks, allowing us to avoid the crowded streets to the 42nd Street hub on over to Grand Central or from 50th up to Columbus Circle. Our original room was fine, but I inquired if they had an available room with a balcony; they did and readily accommodated. If you want a balcony room, I'd suggest requesting the 13th floor on the 48th Street side. While we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, it was clean/sufficient to suit our needs, the climate easy to maintain, and the showers always warm. A nice Irish Pub and Thai restaurant are next door, and a convenient Food Emporium is within a block and a half distance. Our only complaint was that some days we only received one wash cloth after maid service:).
