"The biggest handicap is that not a single member of the hotel staff at the reception could converse in English. This can be frustrating.
Guests should have free access to use internet services from the hotel business center free of charge. All guests do not carry their laptops" - Jawahar lal Kaul
"The room was a little dingy and depressing. The lighting was horrible - we could not read when the sun went down due to the dim lamps & there were no end tables by the beds even though there was plenty of room for them, so it was very inconvenient. Being on the Executive floor, we were supposed to receive a paper and fresh fruit every day, but we were not receiving them, even after we complained. Also, the shampoo and soap were not replaced each day so we were running out of shampoo and soap in the middle of our showers. The price was higher than the website advertised. Also, the deposit of $48 came through the bank as $51, not $48 as advertised, and was not netted off the total price. The location was barely within the zone considered 'city center'. In reality, this hotel was not convenient to anything other than the antique market. The breakfast was not very good either. Overall, this hotel was very disappointing and made our stay in Beijing challenging and uncomfortable." - Grant McNerney
