Best Western Roosevelt Hotel Nice

Excellent location - five minutes walk from bus stop from airport. Able to walk home no problem from nights out. Very safe. Booked a quadruple room for 3 adults and got a suite with two large rooms, double bed in one and two singles in other. Large clean bathroom with great shower. TV in both rooms. Cost €38 each per night - great value. Breakfast not included but availed of breakfast on last morning before flight home. It was quite good but expensive enough at €12. Free internet access in lobby.

POSITIVE: In the centre very close to the Promenade and pedestrian shopping and restaurant area. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are tidy. NEGATIVE: Street is very noisy (traffic, motorbykes through the night and restaurant with outside sitting area closeby). Double glazing helps but constant airconditioning makes small room very stuffy and air dry. Temprerature control does not seem to work. Keeping windows open over night definitely not the option. Bed uncomfortable.

Some room are in desperate need of renovations, other are fine. The breakfast is not very good for the price. I would recommend to eat outside of the hotel.

This hotel is very well placed in Nice, being central to all areas. The staff were extremely helpful and very knowledgable about the City. The room was very clean and comfortable. The buses are the best way to get around and your 1 euro tickets lasts all day, so you can hop on and off as you please. A trip into Monte Carlo is well worth is and again only a euro each way on the bus.

A nice little hotel in an ideal position....only 10 minutes to the beach and close to all public transport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that the walls are a little thin and you can often hear the traffic at night.

Cant fault the location of this hotel and all and the staff ( except 1 person) where lovely and very helpful. The room was basic but had everything i needed. Its not cheap but I would def conside staying there again.

THis hotel is an absolute jem. The staff are eager to help and cannot do enough to help. The hotel is tastefully refurbished and the rooms are quiet and large by European standards. The free internet facilities in the lobby is a bonus, also the free coffee and pastries. The location is excellent, an easy walk from the rail station and close to all the attractions of Nice. Breakfast was very enjoyable.

This hotel is excellent -there is free wireless throughout the whole building...and in the lobby they have free pastries! The hotel is only 2 blocks from the water, 1 block from the main street of restaurants and shops, and a 10 minute walk from the major train station in Nice that connects you to Monaco, Cannes, Marseille etc. Stay here you'll find it all very easy!

Hotel was nice. Breakfast very good.It was a pity that there was not a bar or a restaurant in the hotel.

A very nice stay at this hotel. The hotel location is near by every interesting areas, the 'promenade des anglais', the restaurants, the flowers market etc... But, the room where we stay is badly soundproofed !

Clean, conveniently located near centre of Nice at a very reasonable price, given where it is.

Very good location, staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were not happy with our room (very small and awful view) and were promptly given another bigger and nicer room. The hotel had a free internet service in the foyer which was great.

We stayed in April 2007 and were very satisfied. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was larger than expected for France and we had a little balcony. Breakfast included a good variety, location excellent. We would stay there again and recommend to others.

This is an excellent location, and non smoking rooms are available. They have free internet in the lobby, and a laundrymat a couple blocks away. The rooms are quiet, with a Continental breakfast. You can easily walk to the hotel from the train station. Would return to this location again.

Very good location to everything, the beach, shopping street, old town. Calm street and no direct noise.
