I am looking forward to stay at Best Western again in my next visit to Macau
We stayed Friday night. Still can enjoy the free upgrade, though not guaranteed. Large beds. 10 minutes walk to Taipa old city. Old Facilities, but good service from breakfast waiter/reception/housekeeping. Large Mocha casino provide free water. Need to improve: no shuttle to Taipa ferry Terminal. Every hour has only one shuttle to go though Macau Terminal & Venetian. Hotel website should indicate the public bus number reaching it: AP1, 21A, 25, ...

SCREW THEM!!! 3.Nearby have a supermarket where you can get cheaper drinks and some snack.
Good price and good location. A walking distance to Taipa City. The hotel also provides free shuttle to the important tourist spots and ferry pier. However, the frequency of 1 for 1 hour is surely insufficient. The hotel is quite old and the sound proof of room is poor. One can easily listen to the noise made from your next room.
Location is kinda far away from city. u have to walk about 5mins to get a bus. shuttle bus is provided but only to jetty and city of dreams.
Although the room was clean, the carpet in the room looked a bit used and stained, otherwise the rest of the room was clean (such as bedding and bathroom). It is centrally located in Taipa and the location was pretty good.
Breakfast is poor
Its time for them to change the bed. I have been staying in this hotel since 2005 and i guess there are hardly any spring in the mattress. It will always be my choice of hotel due to the size of the room and it warmness.
unfortunately it was raining through the windows. the whole floor (carpet) was soaking wet. Even buckets couldn't cope with the inflow of water. ridiculous... In some serious need of maintenance...
The room had a tired look with a stained carpet and sofa. The buffet breakfast was varied but there was no fruit and the coffee was lousy. The room where breakfast was served had a tin roof as if in a temporary structure. The only good thing about the hotel is the location next to the old village of Taipa and lots of restaurants.
Good value for money, standard rooms are quite spacious. Location although not within walking distance to major attractions and entertainment, public buses are aplenty. Service level seems to have decreased though compared to the first few times that I have stayed there.
The beds are hard but bearable, in terms of cleanliness the hotel was clean but the bathroom could be even cleaner, when we arrived there were 2 hairs on the bathtub and another hair on the sink. The rubber mat could be cleaner as well. I noticed that when we had our room cleaned they didn't vacuum the carpet, which makes me think if they do vacuum at all. One of the glasses in the room had a crack on it. Our complimentary water arrived only on the second day after we checked-in. Front desk personnel can speak basic english which is good but the housekeeping services don't which is very frustrating. Anyways, I'd rate this hotel 5 out of 10. I like the location cuz its in the heart of town, and I like the shuttle services which is very very convenient. I'd go back but maybe I'd pick another room next time. thanks!
Very helpful service. Booked a superior room with extra bed but got a free upgrade to a family room! The lights in the room could be brighter. A pity, there was no free shuttle bus service from the airport.
all just nice for the price offer... just the bed over here really hard... restaurant just next road to the hotel. city shuttle bus can take over there as well.
a 3-star hotel with the amenities of a 5-star hotel. it has its on casino, shuttle bus, gym, pool, bar and restaurant. a very clean hotel with good pricing and staff. a 10 minute ride from the airport and a 5 minute ride to the venetian/city of dreams
very close to many bus stops. easy to go everywhere.
This hotel generally meets the standards of its ratings. Without being especially modernly furnished or boasting attractive decor, the rooms are comfortable. The staff is deferential and communicate clearly in English. The casino offers a congenial atmosphere where staff are unobtrusive but very hospitable. The hotel shuttle service though is woefully inadequate.
For the price range, the hotel was excellent. [Website] had requested the hotel to upgrade us and the room was spacious. The hotel is conveniently located in Taipa and one can have easy access to buses, 2 minutes walk to bus stops to take you to all parts of Macau and Coloane. One can buy breakfast coupons at the front desk for HK$25.00. The price is slightly cheaper than booking on this site. The buffet breakfast was adequate. Nothing special, but it catered for Westerns and Chinese. 5 minutes walk to Taipa village where there is an abundance of good restaurants to suit all tastes. Internet service at the hotet was only available after 3:00 p.m. and they charged HK$40 per hour. A bit pricey. Overall the hotel was good value for the rates charged. Their walk in price was HK$600.00 per night, excluding breakfast.
The hotel's location is a little away from Macau. Nearby just aren't too many eating places around. To hunt for food before Typhoon No. 8 was a bit of hustle for me, other than that I find the Hotel staff are friendly enough and hotel facilities fine.
We're enjoyed our vacation at Best Western Taipa Hotel
