very enjoyable stay, handy for shops and tube, but a smell of cigarette smoke pervading the room spoilt the overall experience
The hotel is clean and in a great location. The rooms are small but well laid out. This is central London. The bath was modern and had adequate room. The bed was arraigned so that it took only a small space. That gave much more room for one to walk around. The balcony had a nice view of an old church and courtyard in the rear of the hotel. the lift was small but very convenient. The neighborhood is clean and convenient to shopping, sight seeing and the tube. This is probably the best value in London for the casual traveler or tourist. I highly recommend. That said, the staff had trouble communicating with orbits and would not call them to correct our reservations. If you have a problem don't rely on them for any help. Thankfully, I had little contact with them except to call a cab when we left. Pros: location, tube across the street, modern room and bath, balcony, free internet, and in room climate control. Cons: poor communication with booking agent. From other reviews, is appears this is a continual problem for guest. Be sure to ask for a back side room. Best on the fourth floor.
good location, good value. close to tube. close to supermarket and restaurants.
My stay was great at The Cromwell Hotel. I liked the cleanliness and the strategic position. The staff were nice and provided me with the complimentary things I needed. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to a friend.
This is a good hotel in a good location. The price was right and we were happy with our stay.
Hotel was nice and clean. The room was small. The staff was very helpful. The continental breakfast was relative expensive in relation to the quality, not 'value for money'. Location was perfect close to the underground station.
Very well placed for Royal Albert Hall, Natural History and V&A Museums and Kensington Shops. Probably the quietest night's sleep I have ever had in Central London.
Staff were excellent and the hotel is in an excellent location, close to rail, shops and easy walk to Harrods etc. Had a pleasant view of gardens from room. Whilst small it was normal size for London rooms, and the furnishings etc were excellent. Would recommend it to others.
The price and location are both spot on, there is a tube station just over the road, with museums a five minute walk up the road and Harrods, Knightsbrigde and Hyde park a ten minute walk. All in all, not a bad hotel and I would stay there again.
Very well located hotel. Reservation staff were excellent upon arrival. We were upgraded to a larger room as they had a cancellation. Could not fault hotel or their staff. We would certainly stay there again.
The hotel was great. Nice, clean, everything looked new and fresh. Wonderful bathrooms with a large shower and big soft towels. The room in general was a bit small, but otherwise great. The hotel has a gym and a bar. They offer a breakfast (typical british), but we did not try it. The location is fantastic, just across the street from the Underground, and in a nice area. Lived on the 2nd floot, and it was still very quiet.
This is the best hotel I stayed in whilst in London. The room was large with an excellent bathroom and very clean. The location was right on Cromwell Road but I had a room at the back of the hotel and did not hear any road noise. The Tube, local supermarkets were right across the road. Breakfast was not included but that didn't matter!! I would definately stay here again and recommend it to my friends.
The majority of staff were very obliging except for two things. On our departure day we were woken up by cleaning staff at 0830 bearing in mind that check out is 1100. We were disturbed two more times at 1000 and 1030 this I felt was very poor as we had a 12 hour flight. i unfortunately had my purse stolen from my handbag and when I asked if I could use the phone to make a reverse charge call to my credit card company the manager Mr Andre [...] would not allow me to do so and we had to use the mobile. He was very adamant about this. It has left a very nasty taste in my mouth. The reception staff were fantastic
Room was very tiny but neat and modern. We were on the 5th floor without a window that could open and an elevator that only went to the fourth floor most days but only the third floor the day we arrived. It would have been helpful if the front desk staff was more aware of the businesses in the area and were willing to recommend places especially the first night we arrived.
Very convenient position on Piccadilly line near South Kensington. Our room had a significant patio area - more than made up for the 1 foot space next to the bed each side, there was, however, a lot of room at the end of the bed.
The hotel is a few mins walk from Gloucester Rd tube station which makes it very easy to navigate from. Staff were friendly and helpful, although we had no real need to make use of them as such! You can walk along to the Natural History museum easily, and also along to Hyde park etc. We got a good deal on the hotel, and although the rooms were a little on the small side, it was all that was needed for a few nights break - we only slept in the room. Would stay here again.
Room was very small, hadn't stayed in a London City Centre hotel before and I was surprised at just how small it was. The room however was clean and nice despite the size.
I enjoyed my stay, very clean rooms and nice bathroom, good view of the Church & garden behind the hotel. It was an overall nice experience to staying there.
excellent value for money
great hotel. nice and clean. the reception was very helpful.the bathroom was renovated. the room not small.i liked very much the coffee-tea making facilities tray in the room. i did not like that there was not mini bar in the room.it was opposite the underground station gloucester road.nice area with many shops (super market, pharmacy, starbucks, etc)
