Tropical Wanderer Resort is a 4 AAAT Star rated tropical paradise featuring 29 4 star rooms and chalets. The resort covers an area of 4 hectares and is well known for the beautifully landscaped gardens. We offer a large variety of ground floor, non-smoking accommodation. All motel rooms have data point entry for laptops, free Austar viewing and parking right outside your door. Together with an a la carte restaurant, Outdoor Bistro and small conference centre your stay here at Tropical Wanderer Resort could not be anything but enjoyable. Tropical Wanderer Resort has two delightful swimming pools as well as a children's pool. Facilities also include a half-sized tennis court and games room all available for your entertainment. Tropical Wanderer located in North Rockhampton, is also perfect location for that get away shopping experience. The Rockhampton Stockland shopping centre is 800m south and the new Homemakers centre is directly adjacent. All within walking distance. The CQ university is only a 5 minute drive North and all schools and sporting venues are within 15 minutes by car or taxi.

Getting there:Tropical Wanderer Resort is on the Bruce Highway in North Rockhampton, adjacent to Emmaus College and the new Homemakers centre. It is approximately 15 minutes from the domestic Rockhampton Airport, the Railway Station and the Bus Terminals. The Rocky Taxi service is also readily available. Please note some GPS systems have trouble with our address
Check-in Procedure:Rate is for 2 people. Extra guest charge $16 per night payable direct to property on checkin. All linen supplied for existing bedding. Rooms serviced daily. Office hours 7am-8.30pm except Sunday (7.30am-8.30pm), please notify property if arriving outside these hours. Please present credit card and photo identification on check-in.
Car parking:Each accommodation has it's own private secure parking space right outside your door.
Child Policy:Children under 2 yrs stay free in existing bedding. Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parents.
What a welcome surprise. A quiet tropical garden. This was the 5th place we rented over our drive from Port Douglas to Brisbane and it was the best value. It was like walking into grammas house, everything in place and clean and fresh. The breakfast next morning served in the room was hot, fresh and just like home. The location was great as we wanted to drive the scenic route past Yeppoon the next day.
We stayed in studio motel. TV on high stand above bed - hard to see without suffering stiff neck. Plus Air Con very noisy. Location excellent, no traffic noise. Staff very helpful. Would stay again in future but next time in a Deluxe Motel Room.
Although we booked the room for 2pm it wasn't available until 4.30pm. This was an inconvenience. Inconsistent approach to customer service by front desk staff. Depends who you get on the day as to whether you require a credit card or have to put down a key deposit. Room was really good but the stench of bleach was a bit overwhelming. Very good for the price. Location is great.
It would have been nice if there had been some Water , in the fridge, also , there was no ice-cubes. The Vanity tap also dripped constantly.Other than that, I was happy with my stay at this resort.
