"ALthough facilities were basic, it was very clean and the staff were very polite.

"as a budget priced hotel it just about delivers what you expect, the location is great but inside, it is a very tired building. No lift and the stair carpets are very worn; probably dangerous!
Our shower worked ok but looked mouldy, the toilet didn't flush properly and there was no remote to the tv; blankets instead of duvets.
and the squeekiest floorboards I have ever walked on!

"Average guest house in an excellent location. Serves good english breakfast. Staff are friendly. No lift meant we had to climb 5 flights of steps every time. If you want clean towels take your own as they don't change them daily but urge you to dry them out and reuse." - Anonymous
"we stayed here for 3 nights with our two young children. although the hotel location was fantastic there were several issues with the hotel. there was no lift and we had a push chair and were placed on the third floor. the hotel had a family cat and there were cat litter trays in public areas. there were rails on the stair case missing and stair carpet was loose. the room was a good size, the ensuite had a separte shower but there was mould evident in it and on the ceiling. the toliet seat was loose. the hotel says it offers tea and coffee making facilities in the room but there was no kettle. the bedding was clean but they were thread bare. there was a tv but the aerial was broken and the channels were limited no sky was available despite it being advertised. the breakfast was a basic english breakfast! we ate out our last morning. the staff were friendly enough and the price was fair though i would question the hotels rating wouldnt recommend and would not use it again." - Anonymous
