From town near custom we took a bus number 2 to our hotel, about twenty minutes. You must pass a restaurant and a dolphin statue then alight. behind the bus stop you have to walk down a slope. (in the day no problem but, in the night you need touchlight. very quite path) Not much action with the staffs hotel. They mind their own business. Location: A bit far but to us is a great exprence.
The hotel is about 10 mins. taxi ride from Gongbei border. It is tucked behind some old apartments , with some rooms facing the sea. Not much eateries nearby, though there many computer gadgets shops in the main street. The staff at the reception were friendly and able to answer our questions well. The room & bedsheets were clean and room was smoke-free. A water dispenser that serves cold/hot water was in the room. Overall, good value for money in a clean room. The only problem is the location since it is not near to many shops or restaurants.
2 single beds room located from 2th to 6th floor.
Double bed(1.8m)room with garden view located on 4th floor.
2 single beds room with seaview located from 5th to 7th floor.
Seaview family room with 3 single beds.
Seaview suite with one 1.8 meter double bed located from 5 to 7th floor.
Near to the seafront and a famous park/island call yelidao. Nice environment with sea front view. Excellent to see the outreach of the sea. Not much eatery around though, but still acceptable. Excellent pricing.
All above average.
Excellent value hotel. Service was very good, and welcoming. Hotel is nearby ferry terminal, but slightly further away than Catic Hotel from Macau border. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay at Bihai Hotel again!
just can say.. if you go Zhuhai have to stay here..
My family had made a reservation with Bihai on the 17th Nov 2008. We must say that the room was wonderful, clean and spacious. Check-in was easy and the receptionists were helpful. The short lane leading to the hotel is a little bit quiet, otherwise, it is a good hotel.
The room is quite dark although switched on all the lights. Also, we have to call and request for the hair dryer which is not provided in the room. The hotel is near to restaurant and 10 mins walking distance to Jusco Department Store. Strongly not recommend to have dim sum (chinese breakfast) at the restaurant next to the hotel. The service is very slow which takes us 1 hour to have 5 dishes and the costs are quite expensive although discounts is given.
the Hotel is a bit out of the way! I found it on the internet, and booked sight unseen. I was arriving from Macau. The taxi fare from the border was 26 yuan...which is not too bad. The hotel is close by the beach. In its heyday it would have been a very grand place, but it seems a bit isolated now, surrounded by rather dirty looking residential blocks. Nevertheless it was clean enough, although a little bit run down. the staff is very good and very helpful, but no one can speak much English. The cost of $40 per night for a double room with bathroom is ok, and there is a reasonable restaurant next door. Also a good tea shop! It is about a one mile walk to town, with plenty of restaurants and food shops, and there is a bus which leaves from the road at the back. Al in all it is a cheap, comfortable and clean place to stay, but a bit out of the way!
The room was quite cold even though the aircon is off in spring. The towels was not off white in colour. Overall the bathroom was not very clean. The bathtub is a bit filthy. However we were quite impressed with the mini cool and warm water dispenser and the tea set provided.
This hotel was a long way from the airport - but you can get the shuttle bus to the city then a taxi the rest of the way - it is then quite close to the land border crossing with Macau where we were going the next day. (It is also near the beach). The room was a real surprise as we had paid for a triple room - this was the only hotel that we stayed in that gave us the third bed in a little separate room/alcove, it also supplied boiling and chilled drinking water on tap free. I feel it was very good value.
Well located in Zhuhai. Asked for a non-smoking room but it smelt of cigarettes. Otherwise fine.
