I love the room! sea view facing and very spacious!
Room very damp and badly in need of updating. Room cold as aircon was not able to be adjusted (broken) and noisy as could hear guests talk next door. Food was average but breakfast was ok. Would recommend facilities for kids
We stayed with a 2 year old who loved the waterslides. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious, modern and clean. The resort was very child freindly. Only criticism was the al a carte menu at main restaraunt wasn't adevrtised super well, we thought we could only have the buffet initially. Food was of a good standard though. Resort prices were in line with Singapore but coming from Perth, Australia, we thought they weren't excessive. Would definitely stay again.
Overall great hotel. However not conducive for guests to travel out. Shuttle buses to other locations are non existing. In addition, timings of shuttle buses to available locations are very limited, for example to pasar oleh oleh.
A very self-contained and self-sufficient resort; though somewhat 'detached' from the rest of the island due to its secluded location. Room was very clean, but pillows (not covers) had smell - could do with some sunning. Had a good mixed of restaurants within the resort - Jap, mediterranean, western, seafood etc. although these are expensive restaurants. Had only one miserable 'grocery' shop in the resort with exorbitant prices. With only two shuttle bus trips to the pasar oleh oleh, you are practically stuck at the resort, unless you are willing to fork out money to sign up for trips out of the resort. Sound proofing was bad. Had a family with kids staying above us, and whenever the kids jumped or stamped on the floor or the wooden enclave inside the room, the noise came thumping down on us. Won't mind going back again for reprise from urban living, with extra money to spare for a little pampering. But for retreat with more "roaming space", would choose the other resorts.
This is something really a paradise, worth staying there. Just try to stay for more than 2 nights so that can reallyrelax and enjoy.
They make it compulsory to use the Hotel taxis, which is quite expensive, if you require a ride to places around Bintan (e.g. Kelong, Pasar Oleh Oleh).
I enjoyed my stay at Bintan Lagoon REsort, the room was fabulous. The bed, toilet and room design. Modern, clean and comfortable.
Hotel is very tired and refurbishment is more of a cover up than major improvement.
+ very friendly staff + overall a very nice location + disco club just next is fun - long waiting time for check-in, although arrived afer 3pm. - the food is quite costy - coffee and mineral water is fare to expensive!
Bintan Lagoon Resort is located near a very clean, appealing beach. The resort is well-maintained, clean, with a large garden which allow visitors to spend a lot of time outdoors. Moreover, the staff is very helpful and friendly. The resort is definitely reccomendable for anyone wishing for a short excursion.
A NICE BEACH RESORT HOTEL FOR FAMILY AND COUPLE.
No doubt, it's a very nice resort. But the room inside is a bit old and not really nice decorated. USD1022 for staying 4 nights maybe too high. Insect bites and mosquito sting quite serious on the beach.I was coming home with itching marks all over my body. I've been the same resort May 2002, it's the second times. Quite disappointed! But one thing I have to mention is the starry sky is great I've never seen before in my life!
Time for the complex to have a make over - it is a little tired since our first visit in 2004; no major work appears to have been done on the rooms in that time. Still a perfect holiday destination.
Spent 2 nights at Bintan Lagoon Resort (BLR). Got a standard room at promotional rate of about S$160nett/night with breakfast. Room nothing great, air-con not working well. Would not pay the normal rate of S$250++/night for such a room. Hotel has too few restaurants and grossly overpriced (Average I spent S$80-100 every meal for 2). Everything you do there costs money. If they can charge for the beach they will. Overall my first time in Bintan was ok. Beach was nice, but not so nice to the extend to pay exorbitant prices. Would like to go back only if company pays..LOL.
We were upgraded to Deluxe room and were impressed by the room which comes with a balcony and nice scenary. Breakfast was good but please do not try Seafood Dinner. Is hard to get bored at Bintan Lagoon Resort if you are prepared to pay as there is a lot of activities.
limited shops for shopping. no public transportation to other locations. expencive taxi rates.
Expensive but the resort has excellent facilities. The swimming pools are very nice. The beach is excellent. Free transfers to and from the resort and ferry terminal were a plus. Room was not clean. Sheets had stains. Floor was very dirty. Most of the sea-view rooms have a poor view of the beach. To save money go for the superior room and just spend more time on the beach.
The Getaway for my wife & myself was just great, with minimum damage to my bank yet enjoyed ourselve to the fullest.
We enjoyed our time at the Bintan Lagoon Resort and found the personnel there very friendly. Food costs were quite high, but we expected this.
