Blacket Hotel Sydney Guest Reviews

3.6 out of 5

I love the design of the Blacket Hotel in Sydney. Very contemporary and elegant. Overall, our stay was good. The rooms are nice and clean. However, I would like to point out a few things that could be improved on. First when we checked in, the foyer/reception was so warm (heating) that it became quite unbearable. Then when we got into our room, the television was faulty but the hotel staff was very good in replacing the television with one that works. It was a quick service too. As for the breakfast menu, I'm afraid it is not the best as some bees are also flying over the preseved fruits. The food does not look very fresh too. These are a few things that the Blacket Hotel Sydney could improve on.

The room suited our needs for the few days we were there, however, the room was very dingy and dark and the noise from the air conditioning unit plus the disco was awful!

The location is perfect however I find the apartments, rooms, entrance, hallways etc very dark and uninviting. Also there is no room service or restaurant open or available on a Sunday evening.

We had a two bedroom apartment. It was well appointed and allowed 4 adults to comfortably stay without being too close for comfort. One member of our party was in a wheelchair and the staff were extremely accomodating and friendly. Our room was ready at the time promised. A great location with fairly basic facilities - perfect for a weekend shopping!

Very modern and stylish, it was a refreshing change from the typically set out hotel rooms! Loved the Loft!

We enjoyed our stay. Location is fantastic for walking to major sites. Breakfast was included (nothing fancy but a very nice spread) which saved us 20 dollars a day.

My husband and I found the Blacket Hotel to be very modern and up to date. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay again if the opportunity arose.

Blacket Room 2 (their heritage room) is charming and has a nice selection of books for guests to read. Minc Restaurant has a very calming atmosphere and tasty, well-presented food.

Centrally located within walking distance to everything a tourist in the city needs, this was the best thing. Service was very friendly and the refurbishment very modern. A great find ! We will recommend to others to stay here.

The Blacket is a great hotel. Very funky. Great staff. Huge rooms with nearly a complete kitchen. Odd assortment of kitchen utensils though but just ask reception and they'll get you anything you want from the restaurant kitchen. Lighting is for mood not reading or working so an extra lamp on the desk would be good.
