The Blauer Wolf and medieval city of Gunzenhausen are certainly worth a visit! Use the hotel as your base for year-round touring of the scenic Franconian lake district and the romantic Altmühltal river valley, one of Germany's largest nature parks. Whether you travel on foot, by automobile or even better, by bicycle, you’ll be following in the footsteps of the Roman legions and Baroque masters. Also you can step back into Germany’s past by visiting world-famous Rothenburg ob der Tauber or travelling along the Romantic Road, both of which are be easily explored as day trips from the hotel.
