Blue Bay Hotel Mallorca Island

The hotel is well sited away from through traffic and in a very quiet location well away from the main, fairly busy, main street. It has a large swimming pool and a small children's pool set in well maintained shady gardens. There is a stunning view of the Palma Bay from the hotel's elevated position. The "downside" of the quiet location is that there is a pretty steep climb from the main streets and the tiny sandy beach up to the hotel, making it difficult for disabled or very elderly guests. Facilities in the hotel were good for a three star hotel. Breakfast buffet catered plentifully for most tastes and there is a buffet dinner with one drink included for €10 in the evenings. The reception staff helped efficiently with requests for additional bedding, hairdriers etc. with arranging taxis and telephone enquiries.

Very enjoyable stay at the Blue Bay. Although the hotel is on a hill this provided the daily exercise. The staff were very friendly especially bar staff and reception. There was a contingent of young people arrived causing a bit of noise but the staff sorted that out quickly. Would certainly use again

Wonderfull view from hotel rooms. Very bad car parking facilities ! Quite a distance from Palma centrum, but a taxi is only 10€. Lots of reasonably priced restaurants in the area.

Nice little hotel - quite basic, but reasonably priced and well-located, walking distance to beaches, and short bus ride (1.50 Euro) from Palma city.

I consider the Blue Bay Hotel quite a find. Budget was the main consideration and the hotel exceeded my expectations. I had a room on the 8th - top - floor with amazing views. The room was compact but beautifully decorated. I took my own kettle and hairdryer. The hotel was in an elevated postion, with many steps up from the church, or winding road, but I found this no problem - and I am a senior! I opted for the 10 Euro extensive hot and cold buffet dinner which included a large glass of wine. There is a frequent bus service to Palma (No 3) and I discovered there is a less frequent circular bus which stops just outside the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a great time staying at this hotel. It was clean with enough space and great view over the ocean. Also found the staff to be helpful (although not speaking English well) and the breakfast and supper was good.

this hotel has every thing you need. it is small and freindly but it on a very steep hill with a very busy road outside on a bend so you take your life in your own hands whenever leaving but there are stairs (about a thousand) to avoid the road. there is a bus outside that will take you to the beach or into palma. there is a lot of stairs to the pool but there is a lift. very nice place.

A very nice hotel. Good view and nice surrounding. No entertainments at hotel, lobby bar is not good at all, though rooms are very confortable.

STAIRS It's not too easy to find this hotel, from the marina go up the stairs to the church, go round the church and up a lot more stairs. over 200 steps. not for the faint hearted, but price and view do compensate for this. really nice hotel when you get up to it, breakfast was good, evening meal nothing to write home about. Eat locally. Very Nice

I can recommnend twin rooms for single use because single rooms are so small. But the prices in this hotel is the best in whole Mallorca island. Have a nice trip.

A fairly decent Hotel spoilt by the attitude of the staff, or is it that they just don't like the English? Only time you got a half smile from them, and they understood what you said, was when you spoke the magic phrase: 'keep the change' Was told on checking in that there was no car park and I would have to find somewhere on the narrow streets surrounding the Hotel to park the hire car. Found out later that the was indeed a small car park underneath the Hotel, but they liked to keep it for their Spanish guests. Not made to feel welcome at all, a pity because it is such a lovely Island.

When we first arrivd we were given a tiny twin room - we'd ordered a double...we were moved to a bigger double room the next day though so all in all an excellent stay. Only down side was that the hotel is situated on a steep hill...I lost weight after my holiday! Excellent.

This hotel is the classic example of absolute value for money! Go for it!!

Great location overlooking the bay and Cala Nova, a short walk down the hill to the Yacht club. Only small issue - the internal sound proofing between rooms and the coridor is not great!

we stayed in march 07 fantastic price, amazed that we had sea front room, veryfriendly,breakfast was superb. the town is drab but a great hotel for a base to travel..

Hotel and staff good but wouldn't go back because of the location. Beach was too far away. Struggled with the steps and hill upto the hotel. Definitely need to hire scooter or car as local buses where packed.
