Blue Bells Hotel London Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

fantastic location, ground flour is just above the underground, so a little bit shaky, but the rest is ok. quite a decent place for budget hotel in london.

3.6 out of 5

We were upgraded to a family room at no extra cost because they were quiet. Room was a bit tired but clean and functional. Breakfast was basic but plenty of it. Hotel must be over the tube line as the place vibrates every so often but you quickly get used to it and it stops at around 11pm so no disturbance in the night time.

Stayed here for one night and was in an excellent location for where I was going. Other comments of hearing the tube are right, but it's a rumble in the background & never kept me awake. Lovely clean room, very nice bathroom and rooms a good size. Pricing here was around £20 less than other hotels in the area so for me was perfect. Only (small) complaint was breakfast, staff not very welcoming & when I asked for toast they said had run out of bread so just had some orange juice & cereal then went out for food later. Overall fine, not a romantic getaway for couples but pleasant

Beautiful building, location is nice and quiet. We slept in a twin room on the first floor. Rumbling of subway was not disturbing. Breakfast was basic: orange juice, cereals, milk, toast, butter and jam with coffee or tea. There was a fridge in our room. In the bathroom cold and hot taps were reversed, the rest was OK. Service was ok, a defect tv cable was replaced immediately.

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights in summer 2007, 1 night in the twin bedroom and 1 night in the double bedroom. Before checking into this hotel, we had read a range of reviews on the internet. True to expectations, the twin bedroom was nondescript, with the bare essentials but clean. The double bedroom was airy and included a minifridge which was handy, and a very pleasantly cleaned bathroom. At such a price and its location, this hotel is definitely worth recommending

The hotel is located in a great area, however, they gave me a nasty room in the basement. Each time a train passed the room shoock up. When I took a hot shower, the fire alarm sounded. As I was leaving they asked that I keep my window open to cool off the room. Being on a ground level, I did not feel comfortable doing that so I shut it as I left. When I got back, the windo was open. I did not appreciate that. The room did not have shampoo, and they did not bother make up my room during my stay. All in all I would saty in it again if the price was £20 per night as it in not worth a penny more.

The hotel was undergoing some refurbishmentment on the the front and as we had a front room we were disturbed by workmen right outside our window in the morning. This meant that we had to keep the curtains drawn at all times. The double room was very small with about 6 inches gap between the bottom of the bed and the wall making moving around very difficult. The room did contain a fridge which was a bonus. I was not able to get into breakfast as the room was very small and full on the 3 occassions I tried to go for breakfast. The price was quite expensive compared to other hotels I have stayed in around that area and for the facilities availible. I took me 20 minutes to check out as thier credit card machine was not working and I had to sign various papers which they then faxed to somewhere else to charge. Not happy with this.

Good central location. Close to 2 underground stations. Basic but very clean. Basement rooms are right over the underground line so if you are a light sleeper you can expect to be woken early. Price very goood for location.
