The Blue Water is located on a sublime stretch of the Wadduwa coastline, where the waters become a shimmering speculum of the clear blue sky. The hotel offers a spectacular view of the sea, and stands amidst a cool cluster of coconut palms that line the water and throw shadows into its scintillating blueness. Walk down the cool white corridors, and be greeted by the spectacular sight of a lush green coconut palm garden. Get hypnotised by the soothing sounds of cascading ponds and fountains. The swimming pool is too good to resist – so too the excellent cuisine. By night, the Hotel’s stunning elegance is accentuated even more. Rooms are simple but luxurious – loll about in crisp linen the shade of shell. Tennis and squash courts, three different bars – and even a nightclub. You might never want to go home!

Room 201 I occupied had a floor with dated & worn-out tiles. The en-suite was partitioned with plain glass panes with rattan curtains, extractor fan was ineffective & it was from a bygone era & I would be surprised if anybody would wish to lie in the bath - in any case there was no plug. The toilet had a flush button that needed a bit of experimentation to work out how to get a full flush. Breakfast, lunch & dinner were buffet style with a good range of freshly cooked food as well as a good range of cold foods & sweets. Service at breakfast was a 'hit & miss' affair as the staff seemed to be disarray in looking after all the occupied tables - one morning I had to catch the attention of a waiter after a long gaze to get a refill of coffee, and on the next morning I had to serve myself for a refill. However, the staff seemed enthusiastic. The hotel is set at a great location with an expansive palm covered garden with plenty of recliners and a good sized pool, both facing the sea/beach.
